Did you experience any disconnects or crashes?
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:

My client crashed repeatedly during and before the test Ugh When time dilation kicked in, the client operated smoothly, although during the fight, any inputs I made took several minutes to take effect. At this time I had 2.5 FPS, and the client was extremely slow to respond. After disabling all brackets, the frame rate increased to 15-25 and response was better, though far from ideal.

I have never been on a mass test before, and has been interesting taking part in mosh pits P Seeing time dilation taking effect is pretty cool, though I saw the dilation bob up and down a few times. A small suggestion, that the dilation returns to 100% at a slower rate, since speeding up, slowing down and speeding up again in a short period of time seems a little unbalancing to me.
I was keen to take part in a mass test, although the persistent crashes got annoying. Between 19:50 and 20:30, I crashed 5 times, where the client locked up and would not recover, ending up with the "eve is not responding" window.

Thanks for the experience Cool

  • The 'High' overheating rack ran of into a seemingly infinite percentage after the mass-jump post-POS shoot. It gradually decreased down over time, and it was still possible to overheat both high and other rack modules. While medium and low displayed correct heat values, the high continued its same steady decline regardless of whether it was being overheated or not.

There were also also a considerable delay warping to and docking to the station in the time-dilated POS system. Module responsiveness was otherwise within sufficient limits.

In addition, there was the usual case of targeted shots and effects randomly 'hitting' my own ship rather than the proper target. An ECM rat's "Jamming" effect persisted post-test while orbiting station, despite the rat not being present.

* Average FPS during fight at the gate in Poitot, with brackets disabled - Zoomed out: 6-8 fps, sometimes 10 fps
* Average FPS - Zoomed in: 3-4 fps
* On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome): 1=way worse, unfortunately
* Did you experience any disconnects or crashes?: Yes, 1 crash at the beginning of the mass test, when local spiked to 540 people
* Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: FPS was poor during fleet mass test and poor performance when trying to navigate, dock at station, undock at station, jump stargate, and warp to the POS. Modules sometimes took awhile to online. It was worse than on TQ in the sense FPS was slower and performance was more sluggish with the same amount of people in system when compared to TQ. I had fun though.

  • Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? "No", but I had to re-start the client once when I set my graphics settings from all high except AA on low to all settings on low during the fight at the Poitot gate. After hitting apply all menus disappeared and graphic glitches were everywhere (transparent glowing ships, still jump bubble effects, ship lights but no hull, no proper background image and textures, etc).

  • Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: The game executed all commands given (align, warp, broadcasts, HP displays, module activations (TCs, cap booster, weapons, etc.), etc.) but was otherwise nigh unplayable with such low frame rates. The overview was very unresponsive.

Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? Yes, 2 crashes to desktop.
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: a lot of delay when trying to activate modules, guns etc, however eventually they were all able to activate. I did lose my overview a bit before the 2nd crash. It just disappeared. I checked to see if it was minimized, or overlapping a window, but it was nowhere to be found.

Sorry wasn't monitoring FPS, first test
Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? No
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:

Overall quite good, although I didn't immediately spot the time dilation icon (and have no idea what the % meant, a show info message on that would be useful). When ordered to warp to station and dock, was unable to dock, but able to rewarp. When jumping the gate it brought up the message "session change in progress" but only a very short "jumping" message, would have been handy to have that show sooner. During the fight lag was manageable, didn't have any module errors and drones/guns responded to commands reasonably quickly. It was difficult to tell without comms how fast target broadcasts were showing in fleet. Requests for reps were dealt with very quickly, which suggests broadcasts were cycling well. Cynoing and warping looks awesome with time dilation.

Only suggestions - too many channels and confusion at the start, might be easier to use local for orders from GMs. There also seemed to be some people struggling because they had brackets enabled. A single fleet button you could toggle on and off which turns off all effects and brackets would be really handy (or a customisable one).

The overall test was fun , but my computer performance was so bad i would not be able to participate in something like that very often on TQ. I spend my time in hisec and WH space, so i never experience engagements like that anyway. The small battles i see run fine at high graphic settings on my craptop, although the fan starts reaching critical speeds.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome): 6, performance seemed well enough up to the point I jumped into Poitot. I was seeing dialogue boxes that I was receiving damage after decloaking, but my ship hud showed shields were taking no damage, and no ships were targeting me on grid (I'm assuming they just hadn't loaded yet). Then armor melted and I saw the wallet flash, and I was in a pod. Then client crashed.
Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? Yes, 1 crash
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Ship got blown up in Poitot, as my pod appeared on grid, client crashed, I logged in and found myself in station with my clone.

Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? yes

Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: well couldn't see any change from the test and TQ actually, same issues with targeting ships already dead for a moment, weapons cycling while hit stop for a while and once everyone got his drones out was even worst.

My ship was full shields (shield tanked) that my armor was already at 0%. Overall nothing changed for me on that node or null fleet battles. Had a very recent fleet battle for about 600pilots in null that was quite better to be truth even if got ganked by the server too (connexion timed out or server not responding)

Edit: when I say better it's because I wasn't the only one with lag but everyone in the same system witch seems wasn't the case in this specific node.

Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? Massive crashes all four clients crashed 3 times min during test, without auto restart. No disconnects
Describe your experience; make comments, suggestions, etc.:

Time Dilation was cool effect especially watching Cyno's. That being said could not keep the clients running, worse during the Tower assault all 4 clients crashed twice during the start and until the tower died. I was restarting two of the Clients and the Approaching Gate to jump for final battle when I was locked and fired on and two of my clients ships were destroyed before I could even Jump.

Since people can't follow instructions and CCP doesn't seem to care or even encourages this type of behavior I won't be wasting my time on these tests anymore
