T1 fit T1 frigates for duels

I have been thinking about setting up some 1v1 duels.

For this i was going to buy a bunch of t1 fit t1 frigates and then just randomise what we jump into and fight in, probably by just copying all ships in the hangar too random.org. We would then just fleet up and go hunt each other.

I'm looking for inspiration on what ships and fits i should use.

The whole point of this is to try and get as even fights as possible and to learn in different situations. It should be an opportunity to learn how to engage and to try things out in a cheap and fun environment.

So i'm looking for a good mix of frigates and fits. Brawlers, kiters, ewar, guns, missiles, close range, long range, whatever. You won't know what you are up against. Some match ups will be a challenge but that is part of the fun.

I think the 2-3M price range should be enough. Meta 0 prefered. You will be fighting a pilot with similar level of SP and both will have t1 fit ships for balance.

why is meta 0 preferred. higher meta although more expensive usually allow more fitting room iirc.

It was just to make it disposable. I want to buy a bunch of these ships and just give them away to anyone who want to do some duelling. I want to be able to throw this at anyone in large numbers.

Any you will only be using these ships in duels against other ships like it. So if everything is meta 0... it's "balanced". You usually fit T2/higher meta stuff to get more fitting and performance to get an competitive edge. As everyone here will be using ships from a premade pool of ships, the performance edge doesn't exist.

When rvb have bit thunderdomes, with provided ships, i assume they are not t2/meta 4 fit.

But sure. Lower meta could be cheaper than meta 0. That could work.

It should probably be pointed out that this is not for a competition. This is just for friendly/fun duelling.

Many meta 0 modules are more expensive than higher level metas. You want to look at each case individually to figure out the cheapest piece to put in each slot.

Sure.

I'm mostly looking for concepts though. Meta 0 is good enough for examples. I can change to higher meta later if it makes it cheaper. You don't need to spend time on picking out the cheapest mods. :)

One example:

Quote:

[Condor, t1 duel]

Nanofiber Internal Structure I
Ballistic Control System I

Warp Disruptor I
1MN Microwarpdrive I
Tracking Disruptor I
Tracking Disruptor I

Light Missile Launcher I
Light Missile Launcher I
Light Missile Launcher I
[Empty High slot]

[Empty Rig slot]
[Empty Rig slot]
[Empty Rig slot]
Scourge Light Missile x500
Optimal Range Disruption Script x2
Tracking Speed Disruption Script x2

This is the kind of stuff i'm looking for. Just a bunch of working solo pvp frigate concepts.

This one goes from 782k isk to 626k isk when "metafied".

But again. Looking for concepts here. Variation is the keyword. I want to be able to create as many different situations as possible. :)

Cheap Ship Fits

I made this thread for newer players - all fits are under 1million isk and require practically 0 fitting skills.

You can upgrade them a bit with your own items to use the excess fitting you have.

I have run a frigate free-for-all for my corp a few times where I buy a hundred frigates and prefit them for about a million isk each. The fits aren't optimal, obviously, but they are cheap and intended for very low skillpoint pilots. Might give you some ideas. Contact me in-game if interested and I can send you the fits.
