I was reading through old threads in the forum about usin the POCO versus a Command Center launch and learned that:

1. The tax on a Command Center launch is 15%
2. At a POCO, the owner will set the Tax %.
3. If the customs office is owned by interbus then its 17% Tax.

I was wondering however if the Customs Code Expertise skill cuts the taxes on the launch as well as the POCO/Customs Office?

2) At a POCO, the owner will set the tax%. Anyone using the POCO pays (10+corp set tax)%, with the 10% being reduced by the Customs Code Expertise skill.

I don't believe it has any effect on launches.

Another Noobish question. If I "show info" on a POCO owned by a player corp*, and it says 10%. Is that 10% on top of the standard 10%, i.e. 20%? Or 10% total?

* "POCO owned by a player corp" is redundant, but provided for extra-special clarity of meaning.

If you are in high-sec, the tax rate on "Show Info" is the base 10% tax rate PLUS the holding corp tax rate, so it is the total. If I set the tax to 5% then it will appear as 15% and players will pay 15%.

If you are in low, null, or WH then there is no base 10% tax rate and the tax they set is the tax you get.

Note that Customs Code Expertise is useless outside of high-sec unless you chance across an Interbus office (I think it applies to those).

It doesn't. It just applies to the base 10% for POCOs in highsec. It doesn't even apply to interbus customs offices in highsec (if there are any of those left)

If i'm getting my math right (no guarantees) the best you can achieve with Customs Code expertise is a reduction in tax from 10% to 3.439% so at lvl V you're saving 6.561% in taxes.

Then you have to add whatever the owning corp has set, if it's set at 1% then in total you'll be paying 7.561% tax for every launch that uses the customs office.

Solecist Project...." They refuse to play by the rules and laws of the game and use it as excuse ..." " They don't care about how you play as long as they get to play how they want."
