Please help i cant launch eve.


When I run the launcher It goes through and tries to patch but I'm getting this message...

The server you are connecting to could not be reached.

Please check your internet settings and restart the eve launcher.

The URL that could not be reached was:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/813998/RepairData_813998.dat

Someone please help, or point me in the direction of a forum that can.

Run the repair tool about a dozen times, it usually fixes it eventually.

The launcher uses POS code. I heard it's being worked on. Ugh

While this statement is not literally true, the launcher does kinda suck, it has a lot of issues. I have to repair my install probably once a month.

I have never had problems with the launcher, and I started using it in beta.

99% of launcher and game patching issues can be avoided by not installing either in a UAC protected area and automatically running the patcher as an admin.

This. Though the comment is wasted. I am willing to bet that the people having consistent patcher problems do not know how to disable UAC nor make a program run as administrator right away.

This is NOT a patching issue for me. I d/l the patch just fine, it's wjhen the login process leaves the launcher that
i get stuck with Connecting to Server (or whatever its called) then it times out. Happens on 2 different machines too, and to reiterate 4, in the 18-19 months that Ive been playing Ive never had a launcher issue.

timeout issue for me was my (dying) wireless router.

got a new one and that went away.

Also, confirming no launcher issues because "run as administrator".
