Is there still any use for corp standings to factions?

I bought this corp a while ago to use it to be able to anchor a POS in hi sec, due to the change ive taken down the pos's as research slots aint an issue anymore. So my question is

Is there any incentive anymore to have a corp with a good corp standing towards a faction or should i just disband this corp?

Stop whining is what you can do. :3

Because the Legacy Code has too much Psssssssssssssssh, nothing will ever get fixed until CCP stop wasting money on failed sparkle MMOs and instead rewrite the entire backend of EvE from scratch.

Faction Warfare eligibility is about all that is left. As an ex-marketeer of faction standings for high-sec POS, I am none too happy with that.

Edit: as mentioned above, jump clones. But that mechanic is usually dodged by joining one of the free jump clone services.

There might be some reason in the future (near or far) to have such a corp. CCP has changed a lot of mechanics lately and they might make adjustments of them in the future. I'd say - keep the corp at least until Crius settles in.

I use corp standings to make only red flashies appear on my overview. So yes we need it.

However I might have figured you mean a different standing to what I use standings for.

Does a corp standing influence the type of missions your members access? It being a h-sec corp and all. I dont know really, but if it does, it might help a few peeps when it stays higher than their own standings and they can use it instead of their own.

Standings are becoming more and more meaningless. Knowing CCP, I wouldn't be surprised if they would remove them one day and only keep faction standings in. My hope is the opposite, that they will gain more meaning and influence. Hell, even some standings restrictions on vanity items like ship skins and uniforms would be appreciated at this point.
