Aliance / Corp Authorized Gate Bubbles

The idea behind this is for alliances and corps to be able to pass through their systems with easy. They "own" the system they should be able to do so. EVE already has the coding in the game to do something like that with POS shields.. so this should be easy.

Example: Gate Kerbz / Gate HED (Null Sec 0.0)

Gate HED is owned by say... Brave, Gate Kerbz is highsec space.

Brave would place a large bubble around the HED Gate (Bubble can ONLY be anchored on gates)
Brave designates a pw for the bubble so all alliance authorized corps are aloud to pass through w/ ease. Any other non authed alliances / corps would get stuck like any other normal bubble.


  1. Bubbles cost to maintain and keep up like POS's
  2. Bubbles would not be able to be placed on connected gates ie; HED/SV5
  3. Bubbles could only be placed in systems with 2+ gates (no dead end systems)
  4. Bubbles could be destroyed (I'm thinking maybe 5x tuffer than normal bubbles)
  5. Bubbles would be limited to system gate amount. If there was only 2 gates, then only 1 bubble would be aloud in that system.
  6. Bubbles could only be placed in systems owned by the alliance


I'm thinking something like this would almost dramatically change the game.

Nope.

It is right and proper that if you want to use bubbles on the gates to the space you're renting instead of having actual eyes on it, you should have to make a trade-off. The trade-off to a bubble is getting stuck in it the same as anyone else does.

The other trade-off is that there's a special place in hell for people who use bubbles in this fashion, but that's a topic for a different thread.

If you "own" the space, then why don't have have bounce BMs for your corp/alliance already premade?
