REport? His idea has more merit than most thrown up here. Woudl at least certainly make battleships mroe useful. PRoblem lies on thefact that the game needs LESS cyno things, not more.

No. Battleships are fine without a jump drive.

The ability to warp cloaked would be "fun" in a Black Ops ... but would probably end with major nerfs elsewhere to keep them from being far too overpowered to use

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Everyone talks about that, but the reality is they already are slow moving, slow aligning, slow warping and slow locking anything.
A covert cloak is unlikely to actually break Black Ops, and could be added with a set review in a months time in case it does turn out too powerful. But given anything a Black Ops can do, a T3 can already do other than jump bridge, and that has nothing to do with the covert cloak, and Black Ops have pretty much THE longest training of any sub cap, I don't see swarms of Black Ops crushing all enemies even with a Covert cloak. I would however imagine they might actually see a bit more use, which is surely a good thing.

So what if they're "slow" at things -- they're not interceptors ...

oh yes, giving a black ops a covops cloak will end up like how adding slots to freighters will only be a good thing, with no negative repercussions.

They have no locking delay. An artillery blackops BS could literally cloak/uncloak between volleys.

Jump Drives have become the fast travel of EVE. They need to be nerfed except on JF's and Black Ops. Carriers, Supers and Titans should be gimped in their power projection of travel.

Kind of the sticking point in these threads. YOU get pilots like me who ca run blops who like the no delay. And we are assuming if co cloak was given this would be the bonus taken away as a caveat. My assumption based on widow.

CCP would go ohh, you want a big ass falcon? Well here you go..be just like falcon and tack on decloak delay. Lock times for stock widow suck, yes. Sebo res'ed has it get pretty close to falcon though for a fix, bs targets especially.

Now break out the stop watch as falcon and widow decloak same time and that widow will have the better time on reasonably sized targets like BS'. And I am being nice, I will give the falcon cloak 5 for least amount of delay.

Now one could say sebo the falcon...widow has the +1 mid to fit it better. Rainbow falcon sebo a bit tricky to fit in.

Some would say well maybe it be the speed boost while cloaked taken away. Just not seeing CCP making the widow a really big, much tankier half assed manticore, just now it have an ecm bonus too.
