Nah, I still think NPC empires playing a bigger part in eve would be fun. You may think otherwise, but we're all entitled to our own opinions Cool

Because Far-que... That's why.

What if the empires fight one another in a stalemate of where they are now

and we are involved in multiple, simultaneous and devastating RP live events

Triggered by: Wars of Sovless Agression, Bending the Knee, Twisting the Knife, Eating Sov Wheaties, Bombless Bombers, Fizzlesov, Interceptor Fleets, Running Away, GhostTime Vuln, Renters, Bombs, Bubbles ?

How cool would it be to have NPC empires declare all out war on Null Sec and actively persue that goal with engaging AI fleets that aren't just easy to game rats

Discuss, troll, share cat pictures and always pass the dutchie to the left hand side

And shooting those "NPC empires" fleets would decrease player standings to the main factions

As people have said we already have -

Faction Warfare. (This is alot of fun for low sp and low isk entry)

Incursions. (This is for loot pinatas to take on Sansha raids into New Eden - They appear everywhere.)

Officer Spawns. (Rare as hens teeth and a huge time sink to find though could be worth it if you can spend the time)

Live Events. (The idea is cool but usually hijacked or sloppily executed. CCP do try these now and again.)

Missions. (Super boring but good to learn the basics of EVE Combat and to get ISK banked to progress up the food chain.)

PVP. (Enough said - it is great fun. Bounty Hunters fall under this umbrella too and is not a big enough facet to have its own section here.)

Exploration. ( Including running Anoms. decent ISK and natural progression from missions.)

One thing I would like to see is perhaps an event where there is a special spawn - and he is carrying a valuable BPO or something. The Courier is set to travel from one side of the map to the other and Concord sanction his destruction. Only Information is drip fed by Concord every hour: - last seen in Jel and aligned to Egghelende gate.

He would be in a Ship that would need an organised gang to kill it too - You could need Logi, Ewar, Tackle etc. make it difficult to pop.

This event is a hybrid of officer spawn and live event I guess.

I have tin foil hat trained to 5.

You are entitled to your opinion. Your opinion is wrong. Therefore you are entitled to be wrong.

What you suggest takes EVE backwards. EVE is (finally) moving away from too much NPC control/protection/interaction and more in the direction of player control. This of course scares the people who have forever hidden behind NPC mechanics because they couldn't be arsed to figure out simple ways to minimize the potential negatives effects other players could have on them.

Null and WH space have been the only real bright spots in this situation (you se en null and WH space, people relie on PEOPLE for help , protection and content, they don't hide behind blatant protective game mechanics like CONCORD), in high and low you spend as much time playing the game against the game (mechanics) as you do against other players (it's less obvious in low sec but you still have to deal with stupid things like gate guns and sec status loss, it's almost like the game doesn't want you to engage other players in the spaceships with guns video game....which is ODD in an mmo that has space ships and guns).

Of course this discussion is academic, CCP will do no such thing as you suggest and if they did, the real EVE players (who like to play with/against real people rather than imaginary people) would react in a way that would make the summer of rage look like a minor itch on CCPs left ass cheek. CCP learned there lesson about this with our reaction to that space barbie BS. And Yea, the (defeated) WiS crowd used the same arguements you did.

I thought people stopped volunteering for the Try Not To Think award for this year.

EDIT: Guess what EVE spells backwards...

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

If Eve is that close to being dead it begs the question: why are you still here? I run an orphanage for unwanted stuff, BTW.

To me, it sounds like that he is saying that when the fake EVE players manage to ***** and whine and cry until they get what they want, and that ruins the game, that the real EVE players can show CCP what real outrage actually looks like.

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

Then go play some other game where NPCs do all the things that those games stupidly restricts players from doing. This game operates on the exact opposite logic and is far better for it.

You are not interested in EVE. It's really as simple as that.

How exactly would it restrict players?

Why not just put a bit more thought into what I said rather than crying about my "incoherent nonsense"

There's something else I want to say about NPCs and space. NPCs respawn, immortal players respawn so what is the point of fighting in Eve? Also...

*spoilers* If the RL universe is infinite, it stands to reason resources within the universe are also infinite. This is why our descendants have spindly little grey arms and legs, because they don't need to fight in space because every alien can have whatever he wants *spoilers*

Because it has nothing to do with what you responded to so there is no more thought to give it than to dismiss it as the incoherent nonsense it is and ask that you stop doing that.
