That horrible virus is addictive. Can it please be implemented inside EVE client so I could keep playing while playing eve?

My Zombie Apocalypse is like totally awesome and as soon as I get the "creatonist" gene sequence It'll even be successfull. :P

EDIT: That just reminds me, the first time I played that game on my phone, I was sitting in a train on m way to the office, the "coughing" symptom had just mutated and I thought "wellwellwell, this'll mark the beginning of the end of the world! :)" when suddenly I felt that distinct itching in the back of my throat that always happens to come along shortly before I get something like a cold or a light flu... Was slightly disturbing at that moment. ^_^

played this game in my smartphone. extremely addictive and actually a bit realistic. it actually portraits infection vectors and spreading rates quite well. think CDC in the US contacted the guys that made the game for more insight on the infection algorithm the game has.

Very addictive game!

I've managed to kill off the entire population in under 2 years with a bacterial strain. Viral strains have taken longer but when they take hold it's unbelievably fast!

+1 great little game! The harder settings are a nice challenge, too.

My favourite by far was the one that brainwashed the whole population without killing anybody (just their mids lol).

My record was something like 400 days with a virus. I just use the Darwinist Gene Sequence and the only thing I ever spend DNA points on are the transission vectors, drug resistance heat/cold adaption and the Virus special abilities. ^^ When the last squishy little humie dies my Virus has unlocked almost all of it's deadly potential, turning people into festering, necrotic, bleeding bags of misery in a matter of hours. trick for it to run well: very long incubation stage, very fast terminal stage.

spreads wide and far, kills fast, raises panic levels sky high.

i have problems with fungus right now. i either can't get it to infect everyone, or i do, and i can't kill everyone before it gets cured Sad

In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

Played a similar game once via flash, while my in laws were visiting.

For my disease type, I selected "Parasite", then named it "The Elderly". My mother in law was not amused.

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Yeah its a good game but quite scary considering current situations

Ebola in west Africa, Corona Virus from Saudi Arabia in more than 22 countries, yesterday some dude my father knows caused his doctor to panic, he thought he had just a inflammation in his eyes, they were itching and red and everything, turns out it's a highly infectous virus that the average patient needs 3 years to get out of it's system, during that time you're almost blind and your eyes are always bloodshot red and it seems to hurt just that slight little bit.

The Doc panicked, disinfected his whole clinic and quarantined the guy for at least 6 weeks. Best part, it's so infectous that you apparently can contract that stuff just by being in the same room when the guy sneezes. Big smile

This game looks incredible. Adding to my Steam list.

I was in Phoenix going to school in 1993. I was at work on the graveyard shift and remember reading Stephen Kings 'The Stand'. Was reading and listening to the radio when the first reports of the Four Corners Hantavirus outbreak were announced.

I recently got this game on my phone. It seems to be very very similar to a browser game that was posted on the old OOPE forums probably 4+ years ago. I meant to start a thread on it awhile back as I knew many here, that were around back then, really liked the game.

I can't remember specific fungus tactics, but my go-to strategy was usually to make the virus strong and very infectious but with limited symptoms. That way people won't start to look for a cure before it's too late. :)

But you should also try to save lots of 'DNA points' to use when everyone is infected, to insta-boost the deadliness of the virus and exterminate humanity. \o/

I also know some people choose Greenland as the starting country, since otherwise it's the most difficult to infect.

if you want the most efficient way to kill everything the trick is as long as your plauge does not hurt anyone the humans will not develop a vaccine so...

1. Spread it... I prefer the tree of water and air.
Every time your plauge mutate on symptoms just de-evolve it.
2. Make it imba...
Add all resist tree and heat\cold tree.
3. Once 100% were infected just de-evolve spreading tree for extra points and once u got 65 dna points start on symptoms from top right side in straight line to "total organ failure" and see 1B dies per second.

see, hantavirus has it sorta down to a pat: interval between starting to show symptoms and death is extremely short.

'Total organ failure' was my favourite, too!

Some of the combos are fun, too. IIRC there's one called 'Oops' that you get with sneezing+diarrhea.
