Requiem for a POS

I used to play Guild Wars 2 as a Thief. Thiefs were cool. Some said their ability to be perm-invisible while attacking was OP. But I really liked being a Thief. Unfortunately Thiefs were eventually nerfed and although I picked that char because I liked the perm-invisible mechanic, it was gone and the reason I had picked that class were gone with it. That is a very sad story.

In Eve there are no sad stories though. In Guild Wars my Thief char was usless to me because the play style I liked in it had been removed. I had to roll a new char to play it like I wanted (OP of course). But in EVE, change happens, but you aren't left with some unuseable char. You can change and adapt. You can persue new opportunities. Or you can post whiny forum posts. Really, its your choice.

It's not. The response is “you are creating your own problems”.

I found the best way to stop the constant dickcaking from my twin was to just wait until I was 60 and then light all the candles and wait. It was decades in the making and fully worth it.

You sure it didnt fall out on the ground somewhere? Its probably small enough to fall through the pocket some one cut to steal your wallet while you were looking. You need to be more careful going near Jita, soon they will be using drones to scam you automatically and then there will be a mobile structure to spam local based on its name

That actually sounds like a fun idea, one per system, consumes Plex but spams once a month

Alas, my poor POS, I knew it well my friends. A station of infinite ISK revenue, of most excellent value. It hath allowed me to copy mine blueprints without risk a thousand times, and now, how only a memory it will be! My anger, my entitlement rises at it! Here hung those labs I hath used quite oft! Where be my riskless profits now? All of our profits? Our free copy services? Mine reason for grinding mine standings so high? Now, you mock me and mine kin with tales of industry for sake of "balance"? Nothing more than change for the sake of change!?!?! Morose this makes mine brain. Now off to thine Account Management, unsubscribe mine accounts, leaving the rant lain out before you as mine reasoning, for you to jest about.

+like: mainly because you cared enough to write that much stuff.

As to your points, I think it's too soon to know how Crius is going to play out and how much it sacrifices high/low sec industry to make industry more attractive in null-sec. I think that CCP will implement more POS advantages as part of the POS rewrite. And I think your POS allowed you to reap huge advantages in researching BPO's to optimal levels before the BPO ME/TE conversion.

So perhaps take a break if you want to make a point (you might want to make a tl;dr to make sure CCP knows what it is). But if you went to all that effort in the first place, there must be something about Eve you enjoy. Hopefully you'll be back soon even if it's to focus on another area of Eve.

TBH, I suspect what he was saying was he enjoyed "complex difficult stuff with a big learning curve" and that is all being removed from EVE to encourage a higher retention rate of 12 year old ex-WoW new players with unlimited access to mummies credit card.

OP, your POS now has an advantage that no station can ever touch: mobility.

Not only are all of your facilities better than what can be had in stations, but you can place them at will in systems that will give you outrageous rebates on your fees. Coincidentally (no… not really), these systems will generally also have plenty of free and cheap offices that you can use for long-term BPO storage.

Move around you say? Well...no. I bloody hell will not do what those Devs want me to do.
This is really just you being obstinate for the sake of being obstinate. You willingly forsake a massive advantage handed to your chosen production method and are then upset that giving up that advantage (and ignoring all the minor ones) leaves you with no advantages.

You have not been kicked in the balls. You've been given a huge strawberry tart and chosen rub your genitals in it. There's a difference between the two.

Guess what. My money has also mobility. And it ain't walking to CCP for the next months.
It's CCP that has/is being obstinate by forcing ideas on people that are nonsense.

But then your optimism and acceptance of CCP's nonsense reaches as usual into the absurd.
If CCP made it so that ships would explode at random and give an Insurance-payout for for ship and modules and contents, I'm almost sure to I would find a post from you defending the decission and saying that it's a perfect move from CCP to stimulate the market and give players a time to reevaluate their fits. Shocked
