What happens if you bump a cyno ship off grid?

yes its possible to bump the cyno ship into an adjacent grid, quite easy if you prep the grid walls in advance with cans or corpses. you need something with mass and speed to bump, like a 100mn vaga or a mach to bump more then a few km.

what happens then is that a cyno is on one grid, and the cyno ship is stuck like 10km on the other side of the grid wall in the adjacent grid.

bumping inside a pos shield IS an exploit i believe; haven't used it myself in combat.

Yeah, you need to create another grid first, then dropping cans or something, move towards the pos until you reach the grid wall.

Then you pop over to the grid with cynoship, light cyno near the gridwall and bump the cyno across the wall.

Obviously with a proper bumping ship, an ibis can go damn far... or you could use a dread to cyno and bump/have it skate really far or something

so really the answer is the expected answer. If you bump a ship off grid, it will go off grid, ya know into another grid.

Tell you what I do like though: A killer. A dyed-in-the-wool killer. Cold-blooded, clean, methodical and thorough.

I'm actually seeking clarification on this now. As I can't publish GM responses on the forums, if anyone is interested in the answer, please mail me direcly.

To clarify: I sought a response from the GMs on the cyno ship -> POS field question.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

You can post the result, just not the communication.

Also, even if someone bumped the ship past the grid wall, anyone who can see the cyno and other objects on grid can easily figure out where the grid wall is. It's on the side of the cyno opposite the furthest on-grid items.

I know one pilot, and heard of another, getting a temp ban for bumping a cyno inside POS shield. Obvious exploit - but as usual the lack of published exploit reference list from CCP leads to wasted speculation.

CCP allows freighter bumping to avoid consequences so I don't see how they would have a leg to stand on for the banning of bumping cyno ships.

And that, kids, was how off-grid cnynos were discovered and Harry Forever was vanquished from VFK.

I knew they recently fixed where a triage carrier cannot be bumped into a POS or in the testing we had issues. The cyno ship thing though into a POS has me curious. Where is that source?
