Was reading news articles on it.

What I learned.

1: Dust 514 is now behind the back burner
2: People are pissed at CCP for putting it behind the back burner
3: Instead of making DUST better they simply ignore and start over calling it "Project Leigon"
4: CCP devs at fanfest couldn't accuratly answer questions about DUST514, or back peddled.
5: CCP has yet to put a project Leigon forum slot on the forums.
6: FPS on PC platforms will work. However they are ruining the cross platform reputation.
7: They are going to lose fans for the betrayal.
8: More hollow promises.

If I'm wrong let me know.

Look buddy, GD is the place for whining about Eve and the games that will kill it.

Go to the DUST forums to whine about DUST and how Legion is killing it.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

9. No link. Outside of some other magic stuff Legion will be just a typical shooter, with a futuristic setting. Won't stop me from playing it though...

Or the smarter answer would be to open a Legion page. Hell the valkerie- or however it's spelled- got one, not even out yet.

1) no not really back burnered, its just simmering. Legion is still not green lite. An some updates are coming, but they are just fixes not new stuff.

2) this has passed, most dust players that stayed have shrugged it off, at least from what i have seen

3) As we don;t have all the details, i'm going with that ccp realized they could do what they wanted or be easier to work with if the game was on pc, and they could not port. This is business 101, when you have a failure, you take what worked form it and try again.

4) No, they answered that it was in planning phases and nothing was not set yet. CCP's issue was they did not have any plans for dust, so the dust players felt cheated.

5) Legion is not green lite, its still a concept. There is a forum over on the dust forums where the feed back will be better then what eve players would give.

6) CCP is no longer doing cross platform, so who cares.

7) thats has passed, the people who got pissed and left have already left.

8) actually legion seems to be shaping up well, so the jury is still out.

Biggest mistake was to make it PS3-exclusive. Ofc the game is terrible on that platform.

When project "Leigon" comes to PC, where all their fanbase is, I might actually play it. The premise is really cool.

legion is not green lite, its still a concept, we did not get a valk forum untill it was making progress

I think the entire point of Legion was that they ****** up the design of the link between DUST and EVE, we got the entire DUST market in EVE and have had it for years now but nothing ever happened. They were planning on just patching it in on some big release day, a mistake they're learning from in Legion.

There was a dev that could be quoted somewhere saying something along the lines of "we need to make sure that this time all the core features have to be designed in from the get go and not added later".

Well, we could've gotten an X360 version as well if Microsoft wasn't so damn greedy. From what I heard, the X360 version was more stable. But that's was from a rumor and you know how rumors are.

I'm gonna disagree. The biggest mistake was not linking it to eve in a meaningful way. If eve players had given a **** about dust players, dust could of found its footing. But as we did not care, dust had no support when it stumbled.

If ccp thought I will buy console for fps rigged to eve they were wrong.... no faqs given
and the best thing is.... every eve player knew how dust will end.... except ccp.... or maybe they knew;)

I'm excited for project Legroin. If Legroin learns from Ron Paul 514 it could be a solid game.

I'm also still not sure what the point of Dust was. I made a post about how Dust was a flawed idea and they gave me a response about how industry professionals said it would be successful and that those professionals might know a thing or two. Yeah, really successful.....just like everything CCP does.
