There you can simulate your own T3 cruiser, with the numbers and all. It'll help you to understand better their possibilities while playing with the modules :

There are quite a few discussion topics around regarding T3s and "what is the best". There is no simple answer, as uses and fits vary considerably.

Generally though the consensus between most players is Proteus for PVP, Tengu for PVE.

Although there are fits and flying styles that will make any T3 viable in either role tbh.

Tengu - Caldari
Loki - Minmitar
legion - Amarr
Proteus - Gallante

As to whs it depends on what you are doing, your fit, and the wh. Feel free to elaborate for us and we'll help you.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

That's a very open question. So the answer is that depends.

It depends on if its solo or as a group.

It depends on what class of wormhole.

It depends on what fit you use on the T3 and as there are alot of different configurations of a T3.

If I was doing low class wormholes solo I'd consider a Tengu, they are still very good at all things PVE. If in a group a Loki with the subsystem that increases web range is very useful, especially if doing higher class sites with Capital ships.

I've never really used the Legion or Proteus but I'd guess they are also used in wormholes, in fleets designed to take advantage of certain subsystems that they use.

Also download a program called EFT it enables you to play around with ship fittings out of game.

If you wanna run sites in c3 then tengu or legion are the best.
c1-2 legion is the best

But in PvP they all have their roles, tengu less so for pvp but it can still be a powerful small gang ship.

Tengu - Good missioner, and the only proper shield t3 that can actually fight. In a pulsar these become godly (think 300k EHP). Pitiful cloaky ganker, not a bad cloaky scout, ECM boat, or cloaky heavy tackle.

Legion - Second best at running c3's, can run a beast of a neutralizing boat. Probably 2nd in terms of broad utilization behind tengu. Wolf-Rayet hole makes these godly.

Loki - Webs like a beast (think 40k webs), can do everything else but not very well.

Proteus - Hands down the best cloaky ganker, or just ganker in general. With blasters it can do an insane amount of DPS. Can also run C3's, though not particularly well.

It depends on your fit but ALSO on the wormhole you live in.

If you have a WH that boosts armor stats due to the WH anomaly, it makes NO sense to fly shield ships there.

For PVE, I can't help you very much. Each t3 has a very common "special" use in PVP WH fleets though:

Proteus - DPS
Legion - Neuts
Loki - Webs
Tengu - ECM

This isn't to say you can't fit the other 3 for dps, but the Proteus has the raw numbers advantage. Many WH corps will accept DPS t3s of any sort, as the main reason t3s are so popular is their low mass, low sig, and good resists. However, the support roles are very important in any fleet involving logistics or capital ships so don't underestimate their value. You can really get along with skills in any t3, at least long enough to train for one that better suits your purpose should you change your mind.

While this is true, it depends how you pick your fights. Some corps live in a pulsar but primarily fly armor fleets because the majority of their fights happen outside their home system.

As already mentioned, get the wormhole first
then get the T3 cruiser

whilst your looking for the wormhole
train some relevant skills that will apply to any T3 (and any other ship as well)

Skills to train first

Power Grid Management V
Navigation V

Skills to train when you know which cruiser you need
