I was at an air show last year and there was a guy there would claimed to be a Tuskegee Airman. But he looked like he was about 50 years old. Which would make him -13 years old when World War II ended.

I was in a SEAL team support unit back in my navy days. One of our guys, while deployed to Subic, tried to impress some navy gal out there by telling her he was a team guy (we wore the same uniforms).

This story does not have a happy ending! Cool

Marines do not brook **** from people. We are stupid amounts of protective when it comes to our own brand, but we also protect the integrity of our sister services. Always have, always will.

Nothing pisses us off more than Stolen Valor. Nothing.

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

I want to know what made them confront the guy in the first place. Do these guys just go around an interrogate anyone in uniform? If so that is just pathetic.

On uniforms, ribbons do not go above medals (Ar 670-1). Also, the guy is wearing a SgtMaj rank on his beret; only commissioned officers do that.

That makes sense. I understand the urge to stop false valor, hell I have called out friends that have talked up their service myself; but short of physically disrobing the guy, what can a soldier actually do in this situation other than scare the living **** out of the individual? I mean one can not really report the guy without some demographic info to report to the authorities?

Was just able to listen to it and I guess they will report the license plate and name. Also, I am almost certain one of my good friends from the Tampa area got married in that church lol!

EDIT: That is just awkward, awkward. There is a reason I live as close to 100% disclosure with most everyone as I never want to be caught up and called out like that....for anything Lol

It would have looked better if the guy wasn't black.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

That's probably how those rednecks spotted him. Black guy with shiny stuff on. It sent off all kinds of alarms for them.

And you spotted a couple of shiny white guys which set off all kinds of racist-redneck alarm bells?

They're the guys jumping a man in public. I'm just commenting on it.
