Simple question and reason for it.
EVE has a estimated market share of $93 million. (per year I am assuming)
Star CItizen is approaching $46million funding.

Not being funny but have you seen the level of content they are putting out over there for half the money? I love EVE but lets be honest some of it is as old as the players who play it. AND IT'S BARREN! the universe as in the space it'self is SOOOOOO empty and devoid of anything happening.
Also we are stuck on a single core limitation still. Are you guys at CCP re-writing the base code to solve this? is that where the moneys gone? If so then fantastic. Or do iceland dev's just work half the time other game dev's do? Seriously.

Once again. LOVE EVE but why is there so little of it for 10 years of development.? Maybe we should have a new region set up where you can only lock 1 ship at a time. call it the newbs and bitter vets region where you can go play solo and be happy and then you can say EVE has a friendly zone so new players take interest and then ccp can be like "hey its fun to come to eve why not take part in our stretch goals" Or something.

Yea part of this post is serious, rest not so much.

This can't possibly be serious.
Yes, I too enjoy the idea of sinking millions of dollars toward likely vaporware.

Fake Edit: oh, wait...just read the last line. 6/10

Like is said not all serious. But besides the loyal blind defence of EVE that we all enjoy inflicting on nay sayers.
No one else thinks we are getting surprisingly little content for how much money ccp seems to make.

What? You though CCP was gonna hand you the content all warm and steamy on a silver plate? Go find it. Can't find it? Make it. I'm sure you can find someone to **** of and generate the other half for you.

And since when is SC so much better than eve? Spending half as much as CCP and still not fully developed.

CCP don't make content they make the tools. We make the content.

SC doesn't actually exist yet. It's also woefully over funded because people have gotten themselves trapped in a sunk cost fallacy.

For example; I'm sure that not even CCP would need 2 million to make a novelty pixel bonsai tree.

If you aren't getting content, you may need to reach for the undock button. If that doesn't help, check the number in the upper left corner of your screen. Of you see a 0.5 or higher, that may be your problem. If that's not the case, I recommend trying to find another player, and then shooting at it. If that doesn't help, then the problem isn't with the game.

Oh dear, not this again.

Why do people not understand how things work. Its simple and logical. Stuff like servers etc cost money. So playing this wonderful game costs CCP money. Also you know, staff costs, building costs, taxes etc etc.

Star Citizen is not a game yet. Its still a concept.

I'll try and break it down into short, easy sentences for you:

CCP have been putting a hell of a lot of work into EVE

The majority of that work as been refactoring EVE's codebase one feature at a time.

That part of the work is "invisible" to the players.

The benefit we get from it is that any future development of that feature will be much quicker and easier.

We're already seeing benefits from this. For instance the rework just done on the Industry code will substantially reduce the time it takes for CCP to rework the POS code.

Basically CCP are turning EVE into EVE II one feature at a time

It's a big job

There's plenty still left to do (Structures, Corps & Alliances, Mining, PvE)

let's face it;

the people 'making' star citizen are pulling off a scam any eve player would be jealous of.

EVE is not some sporting even or moviet you go to to watch all these things happen, all pre-planned in advance. some of the best content is made by some of the most carefully laid out plans and/or derpiest mistakes.

I don't think content means what you think it means

Yes, do that. You have one year to go.

…and as Confederate Express demonstrates, the Kickstarter gaming section has actual psychopaths involved that would put the supposed EVE contingent to shame. P

ok I will come back in a year. but if i am still bored I demand some huge ass asteroid belts that we have fleet fights in and have to actually pilot around and maybe some nebulae that limit lock range that randomly float through systems.

Also and audit of where CCP spends it's money. I have doubt's strong doub't.!
