English and Firing speed

When Icelanders were the only people involved in designing and running eve they could use proper english, so why now do we have to resort to bizarre language alternatives?

Surely it's best for everyone including people who are learning english or just not very good at it to use proper english and the proper terms, like 'rate of fire' which apparently contrary to american thought is perfectly self explanatory and has been used in many ways in the real world with no need for some alternate phrase like firing speed!

This is obviously just one of many phrase changes that have been happening in eve like the latest 'Time efficiency', which I suppose is a more debatably reasonable change but unnecessary in my mind.

Perhaps this is just what comes from hiring random players from the game who seem to be good at taking in information and spewing it out again.

One could always switch to the German localization to get around it...

But I'd say, file some bug tickets on phrases that you think are not making sense.

Most producers of software or text, outside of UK, prefer to use the pidgin version of English known as American for the simple reason that there are more of those ugly -------- than of any other kind that has some form of English as first language.

Most people will understand this, give it a few more decades and people in the UK might even learn the difference between British Summer Time and GMT ...

To be fair, That change happened after the US revolted, So the US English is closer to the Proper Original English.

To be properly fair, that's because the US legal system is rather anal and petty. Everything's just 'chips' in Australia, where petty and frivolous lawsuits get laughed out of court.

Which would be rounds per minute or rounds per second. Last time I check the data was seconds between rounds. Firing Interval perhaps? (though that sounds clumsy)
