WTF is this BS with the drone avionics skill CCP?

Only then to get some poor coder who is probably fatigued from implementing the massive crius release to do a hash fix for them.

If they actually listened to feedback as Greyscale has done excellently during this Crius transition, then this hash fix would have never been needed in the first place.

Speaking as a programmer myself, I agree with the sentiment. However, skillpoints are an indirect form of currency in this game in that you can exchange them (in a prepackaged character form) for isk, or even more indirectly, for a different prepackaged combination of them. In that regard I imaging that some people are feeling like they just woke up and found their bank accounts light by a few hundred [insert currency here], and are justifiably confused and upset.

These are the sorts of changes you announce BEFORE you make them, so people know they're coming. It doesn't change the WTF? moment you'll have when you see the error, but at least you had some warning that they were changing something that logically cound have caused this.

tl;dr: They should have announced this change ahead of time - a link on the launcher would not have been overkill when you're dealing with people's skillpoint totals.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

seems to me that there was an error on the application. i have no idea waht the OP is bitching about when all he should do is make a ticket and wait for it to get fixed.

No. Just make sure you only clear the cache. If you accidentally click to clear settings instead you will not be very happy.

I think the general bitchiness is that no one seems to have been aware this was coming, so to the OP it simply looked like they had lost skill points.

thanks. cleared my cache files and confirming that i didn't lose any levels in my Drone Avionics, Light Drone Operation and Medium Drone operation skills, all at level 5.

Yeah, my Drone Avionics has fallen to 4 as well. Cleared cache and it's still at 4. EVEMon is telling me I have it to 4 as well.

Confirming that this is indeed a known issue and we are working on a fix to reverse it. This morning when we deployed Crius 1.2 some of you accidentally got a second instance of the Drone Avionics skill book injected in your heads which is causing the issues mentioned in this thread.

We'll be deploying a fix for this very soon, but in the meantime if you are affected by this issue please file a bug report with information on the affected character(s).

No. Just make sure you only clear the cache. If you accidentally click to clear settings instead you will not be very happy.

Always always always have backups of your EVE settings. I've had mine reset before and having a backup saved me a lot of time and frustration.

i take a break for 1 nearly 2 week to break playing eve because a bit boring . and to day i want to play it but when i come back ,it's total pisses off.
