How do I Find out Research/Manufacturing at remote systems

I am sure that I read we can find out the job costs of research or manufacturing in a remote system without having to run the Blueprint over there to take a look. I cannot find out how to do this in game. Is it possible or was the feature taken out?

check the map. There's an overlay.

(It's also available through my new blueprint calculator Blink but it is in game too)

Seems like quality :ccp:

This number will go between 0.20 and 0.00

So of course we'll show 0.04 rather than, say, 4.52% (which would make more sense and give more significant digits)

I found it on the map, but I dont know how to find the numerical value,

Since Fuzzysteve is already plugging his calculator (pah!), mine will actually will show you the manufacturing cost index as well as the job installation fees if you select a solar system :-)

Steve, that is a great resource, thanks for sharing. One question though, is it possible to enter a method of sorting how many jumps fom the system your in.

updated. you can specific a system, and how many jumps away you want to see. (up to 10. which can become a lot of systems)

It helps that, a while ago, I precalculated all 27 million jump ranges. (well, 13.5 million. then duplicated it for the other way)

that sounds like a lot of work... I was going through the listings and thought I was onto some great results with 0.10% until I found out there were no stations or no industry in the stations within those systems, I can see industry being a real pain now.

If you load up a job in the industry window, you can then swap to the Facilities tab and flip between them to get a quote for the cost, time and material requirements if you were to install it at a remote station.

You can even do the same for a blueprint you don't own by going show info and selecting "Show In Industry" then pick the facility you want to install it at.

But what You CAN'T do is try system that have no facitlity (i.e. if you want to check where to st up a pos and want to just check production cost - price index - or hovewer its called) you cant select a system that have no station with industry
