Incidentally, I'm finally getting a proper license to drive a forklift (after better part of a decade of driving). Strangely enough, the material never mentioned anything about this kind of thing. Lifting people, yes (as in DON'T), but not other forklifts. Guess that's all right then... Lol

While we're on the subject, I was under the impression that you should drive with the forks as close to the floor as possible, pointing down. Turns out you should do the opposite - bit of clearance, pointing up.

Why? Because it's preferable to snap someone's shin like a twig than hit their foot (lots of very delicate bones there). Makes sense, but, it did make me laugh when the guy told me. A nervous, shuddering laugh, and it made me think of Klaus.
