Still laughing about this one. What makes it funnier is that I'm fairly sure it's not a troll. I should call my car dealer to get a refund because my car is worth less now.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

I sold my alts monocle for 1,5b isk . Thats almost double the price I paid. Whether or not monocle prices goes up or down, I've made sure I don't lose anything.

Congratulations, at least someone appreciates the heads-up. I've also got out ahead of the shitstorm. I think people took my idea for compensation too to heart. This was more about warning the community that all that **** that was worth an amount is now going to be worth 10% as much. Use this info however you want.

I completely agree and thought the same thing years ago. A PLEX should be 1 month of game time period. How all this other **** got attached to it is beyond me.

Well I don't think you got the memo.. apparently.. Greed.. is good.

Nor did you. Since this should result in the exact same amount of money being spent.

Actually, no, it doesn't. With the current system, you can get AUR items for ISK by buying the PLEX on the market and converting it. You're proposing to do away with that. People willing to spend ISK to get the items but not real money will no longer be buying the PLEX. As less PLEX is sold on the market, less PLEX is bought from CCP. They get less money.

Ah i see, this was a friendly tip cleverly disguised as a hilariously inept whine for compensation, gotchaBlink

Except you can already buy Aurum tokens from CCP for money, and then those are on the market and can be traded for ISK. Or you can just buy the Aurum item for ISK on the market. We were just proposing a larger 3500 Aurum token for $20 to completely bypass the PLEX. In this way CCP would still receive money for the tokens, and PLEX prices would go down due to reduced demand.

ISK is really easy to make anyway, who cares about higher PLEX prices?

You are right, prices are too low. I went to Walmart and they refused to match the NES price for monocles.

Possibly they reduced the price, when after multiple management meeting, focus groups, and burning out economists, they came to the conclusion that it is better to sell 1000 coats at half the price than absolutely bugger all.

Nope.

AUR Tokens are a separate and existing in-game item. They work exactly like PLEX do, buyable with RL money and ISK and currently come in 100, 500, and 1000 AUR sizes.

All I ask is a separating from the PLEX market so that a new 3500 token gets added and can be bought for the same RL $ value as a PLEX. Then you can turn around and sell the token on the market or redeem the token into actual AUR and spend it in the NES.

No money lost for CCP.

Yes, NES and NEX items should be limited to people that are willing to spend real money on them so that you can have slightly lower plex prices. *rolls eyes* I'd love to see CCP do this and then add a gameplay affecting item to the NES store so that I can see you complain about that.

No, you can already either buy Aurum tokens on the market for ISK or buy the item on the market for ISK. Aurum tokens already exist in 100, 500, and 1000 unit increments. All we said was that CCP should make a 3500 Aurum token and sell it for $20.

Oh, and if they do add something non-vanity to the NES it wouldn't just be me complaining. I guess you weren't around for The Jita Riots. Long story short, CCP already hinted at this in the past and the player-base was having none of it.

I always thought it was from the CCP internal memo talking about non-vanity items in the NEX like ammo and ships. I'm sure "$9000 jeans" and $60 monocles played some part though idk how large.

Not worried at all, values have a habit of changing.

Actually someone told me a story earlier today about a guy they used to know.

The guy was buying plates at around £10 each (collector type) with the idea of selling them later on to aid in his retirement. When he finally took them to auction they were valued at around £1 each.

True story, the point being if you buy something don't expect it to just remain or rise in value, it can also lose value.

i personally enjoy the "Like" button and i think there should be a "Dislike" button too.

But if there was ever a need for a *facepalm* button................this is surely it.

Thank you OP. This made me truly laugh.
