I made a huge mistake.

So as it stands right now, I have very little access to the internet. But I decided to keep my skill queue going in the meantime. I asked one of my friends to keep my queue active while I was away, so I gave him access to my account. He's a close friend that I have known for years, and I know he is a very intelligent person, so I didn't feel uneasy about giving him access.

This friend has only been playing EVE for about a month, and he's still figuring things out, but what could go wrong keeping my skill queue active?

Well apparently he didn't understand when I said 'Do not go in to low-sec for any reason.' So he takes my mission running Abaddon PvE fitted (redundant, but I'm making a point) in to low sec to kill rats. Yes, to kill rats.

I'm still new to the game myself, I've only been playing for a little over five months. Not dedicated mind you, I play off and on. I felt it best to start my career in high sec running missions to build capital and skills so I could move on to PvP later, hence my PvE fitted Abaddon. I've only had that ship for a few weeks, and it took most of my savings to buy and fit. Now it's gone.

Lesson learned. Do not trust your friends, ever.

Dude I don't even trust my alts.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Well that is bad loss for sure...

Not as bad as sharing your account and then stating so on the forums.

It sounds like your friend made a mistake, and it doesn't sound like he was being malicious.

I don't know how much a fitted Abbadon is. Can't your friend get you a PLEX or two as an apology?

You know, I would have mentioned that if CCP was serious about it. They KNOW people share accounts - every major alliance has shared accounts on the down low for logistics purposes if nothing else. The only time they hurf blurf about it in in cases like this where they whip it out to indemnify themselves.

"I lost my stuff!"
"You shared your account, so tough luck and also *bannination*".

It's like speeding - lots of people do it, the enforcers know lots of people do it, but they only care if they're bored, it's so blatant they have to care, or when something bad happens.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Does a ban stop the skill queue?

If not, then who cares. It'll be a three day ban on a character that (supposedly) only logs in to change skills.

CCP doesn't perma ban ever on a first offense for anything. Let alone asking someone to keep your skill training while you are away.

He paid his price and learned a lesson.

So, how about that monument defacing incident and the permaban eh?

There are a few ingame activities which I believe will net one too, but they're pretty severe.

I highly doubt this guy is going to get a ban.

You made two mistakes, posting about breaking the EULA and letting your friend undock...

Not exactly a huge loss, you didn't even have a full TII fit, you should bounce back quickly.
