I've recently had a try at The Elder Scrolls Online (pretty but boring and antisocialising mmo). I had to download 30 GB to install the game, and the next day there was a 12 GB patch...

I made the mistake of buying it when it was released. 30GB install, followed by 25GB patch, followed by another 20GB patch, then a 15GB patch the next day. The game sucked so bad that I spent more time patching it then I did playing it.

Whatsup with these ridiculous patch sizes. You not play the game for few months and you are facing a 3gb patch size (which is larger then the original client?). Whats up with these ridiculously large patches every now and then. Is this client really designed so badly that we need to patch 3gb for such small changes to the gameplay?

I feel like hte game is designed very badly, because for changes that are so small, you hardly notice them ingame, we need to download patches with a 3gb size. Just to find out that there is almost nothing changed.

You guys should focus on making this client better and for a game that is basicly very simple. stargates that connect to eachtother, the patches are insanely large..... I would not mind to download a patch that large, but to find out the changes are so minimal and the patch size is 3gb, that leaves nothing else but knowing that the client is very poorly designed.

You are the proof that there will always be people complaining about the most stupid things... Seriously!? Complain about CCP updating their game? It's people like you that makes the staff in shops all over the world bitter and less service minded, because they know that no matter how hard they try, some person will always come along and complain about some small ridicolous thing... I seriously hope you get into customer service some day so you can learn how it feels to be on the recieving end.

You're my chinese Dinsdale

Ramona, if we're gonna Dinsdale this, we're doing it RIGHT!

Obviously, CCP is releasing these huge patches at behest of their nullsec RMT overlords. Since the vast majority of Goons are US based and have unlimited bandwidth from ISPs, it's not a problem for them to download it. People in other parts of the world fighting the nullsec Goon RMT cartel menace are unable to download the patch due to bandwidth restrictions, playing right into Goon hands!

Checkmate Goons, study it out!

no kidding. I mean, why make such large patches for this extinct crap game anyway that will probably not be around anymore in a few weeks.

Because the ISDs are all at the loading screen downloading the Forum Tools patches.
