Standing misunderstanding

Hi, so i was doing level 2 missions to get enough standing with a corp and get level 3 missions. However once i got to the 3.0 standing, even though the game told me that the level 3 agent is available, she didn't want to give me any missions, telling me my standing is too low.

Here is a link to the screenshot i took showing the problem : Standing Misunderstanding

The top window shows the line saying that i need 3.0 standing in order to get missions. The left window is the agent finder window that shows that the agent is available to give missions. But once i try to talk to the agent, i get the window on the right.

I tried when i hide a little over 3.0, and in the screenshot i have 3.1 because i did another level 2 mission in case the previous standing wasn't enough.

Is this normal?

You should have screenshotted your Minmatar faction standing as well. Do the minnies hate you?

Yeah happens all the time, just log out and back in and he/she will give you missions.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

Relogging fixed it, thank you for the help. Also, from the description (whch can be seen in the screenshot too), it says that i need the right standing with only one of the three : the agent, the agent's corp, the agent's faction. That would mean that even if my standing with minmatar is so bad that they would shoot me if i entered one of their territories, the agent should give me missions if i had enough standing with her or her corp. If the faction standing prevents that in some way, the descriptions should be changed.

not exactly correct, if your faction standing is below -2 u can only run lvl 1 agents till u get above it after that what u have written is correct.

One of the three >= 3.0, and none of the three at or below -2.0. (However you can still run level 1s with <= 2.0 standings.)

edit: Jeanne-Luise Argenau beat me to it.

Hmm, well thank you for the thread title comment, but with what was explained to me, i find it pretty appropriate. And thank you for that explanation, i will keep that in mind.

Just wanted to add this to what everyone else has posted.

No access to Agent if their standing drops to -2.00 or lower, even if it's a level 1 Agent.

After training up Social skills, the only way to regain access again with that specific Agent is to fleet up with someone else who is working that Agent and have them share rewards.

hmm that is contradicting what i learned in my 4 years of eve. It was once correct but i thought to have read in a patchnote somewhere that ccp changed that to lvl 1 missions.

I don't think so. What changed was that all level 1 agents were available even with negative Faction and Corporation standing. However, players could still be locked out from accessing agents if they develop negative standings with a specific agent, regardless of the agents level.

I remember a little while ago someone posted a thread about that very same situation with a level 1 agent due to declining too many missions in a row.

Anyway, it's easy to find out if it's correct, just pick a level 1 agent and start declining missions.
