Ok guys, So I am faced with a bit of a dilemma at the moment.

My Corp has asked me to move down to Null Sec with them for Mining etc. The biggest issue I am facing is logistics of moving everything I own safely down to the Null Sec.

Most of the stuff I am moving is able to moved inside my Orca. I have 3 barges and an Orca with a Freighter Pilot coming up as well.

Now with that said, What is going to be the safest bet to make the trip down with my Orca, my barges etc I am not to worried about I am sure I can buy all that back down there or close enough I can make a run for the gates and make it.

My orca however is my biggest concern. Is there a freighter capable of carrying a massive ship as the Orca packed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Best option would be to leave most of the stuff behind. Buy the barges down there.

That being said, if you absolutely have to bring that quantity of stuff, your only real option would be to move the ships in a carrier. Or if possible, repackage everything, (yes, you lose the links) and put it all in jump freighter and have them jump it all down.

The Orca will fit into a Freighter repackaged, but not a Jump Freighter.

You'd either need to get a Titan bridge from lowsec for your freighter, manually pilot it through entry points (which are frequently camped) or find a wormhole with enough mass. It's a lot of hassle, and there are usually Freighters and Orcas on contracts or on the market in null. You'll pay a bit more than in Empire (unless someone is firesaling) and you might need an escort to get the thing to a safe area, but you can make the ISK back mining highends fairly fast. Ask your friends to check the local market and contracts and get you some prices, it might not cost all that much to just sell all of your stuff and buy new at the other end.

Another option is to buy BPC kits from contracts for the Orca/Freighter, take it out to null and build the ships yourself. It doesn't always work out an ISK saving but some people enjoy building their own just for the sake of it.

Don't move all your stuff, that is risky as hell and will make the possibility of a gank go through the roof.

Your three best options:

1) find an alliance/corp mate with a carrier/JF and ask them to jump a few things for you so you can get stared. 1 barge, and 1 ratting ship and maybe 1 pvp ship should be good to get you started.

2) Jump in a covert ops, and train to use probes. Head to your new home and look for a wh to hs. if you find one, use that to move your ****. its typically faster and a lot safer.

3) Head out to null in a noob/covert/whatever that is small and just buy new stuff there.

Once again, I will repeat, do NOT move all your stuff. This will just make it easier for you to be ganked, and or if you happen to be away or something and the station falls you are screwed.

It is cold in null. You will want to bring your shirt.

When moving to null it's best to leave your big giant things (orca) where it is, or sell it for a good price. If your new corp is decent, the local market will have Orcas for you to buy at a decent price. Don't risk losing it in a bubble.

Appreciate the info, Yes I will be sure to put on a shirt before I go, the jacket well just doesnt cut it anymore for this Pilot :-)

Again thanks for the help, I believe I will shoot down there in a shuttle and take a peak at the market and see if I can find anything down there close to the null sec I will be in and find a few escorts to bring it home, thankfully I already have a good solid combat pilot/miner ready on another account to assist in the escort.

Only take what you absolutely need. More accurate, assume you are being AWOXed and leave enough private asset to get back on your feet.

The last time I moved in and out of deep null it took a few weeks. I went to the area I was trying to get to, scanned wormholes until I found a class 1 that had a High Sec in it as well and pigtailed stuff through that. The process requires mobility and patience though.

Sounds like you should join a corp with a better logistics department.

You could always look for a WH leading to where your corp has moved :D

Might take a while though.

The other option is to sell up and find someone at the other end that will contract to build an orca for you. You probably will have to supply the BPC and some of the parts.

Why do you need all of that stuff?

If the answer is "My corp asked me to bring it"

Then run. Drop corp and run to the hills.

According to this forum, null sec is safer than high sec (don't let the insta-spawning game police of death fool you), so you should be able to just fly to where you want using gates. No one lives in null anyway.

I'd leave it in high sec, you might need it there in the future.
