Was about one month into eve during late 2008. Was really stoked that I had just qualified for a cruiser but still didn't have a clue about fitting ships properly.
Back then, it took ages to make isk, especially if you were a noob and didn't have a clue. So upon seeing a couple of guys talking in local in Arant about mining some rarer ore next door in low sec, I decided to take the plunge and see what low sec was all about (again, slightly clueless about system security ratings).
I fitted some Miner I's in a really poorly fit Vexor (mostly gained from loot) and did a couple of trips into Obalyu. Each time on my return to high sec, I sold the Ore; Jaspet I think it was.

Woo Hoo! I thought. Iskies!!

However, on my 3rd or 4th run into Obalyu, I was quietly mining away thinking "ill head back and sell this in a minute".. when local became really busy. Thinking it was just like high sec ,It didn't concern me that much.

How wrong could I be...

Apparently, the guy who ganked me thought I was a bait ship. He apologised afterwards and refunded me the cost of the ship. We then had a chat about low sec, fittings and for being such a noob.

I learned a lot that day.

I was mining jasp in a bantum in a low sec system. A pilot came in and nuked me, I was able to get my pod out. I added said player to notify and vowed to someday hunt them down and kill them... but after a year I got occupied with other things, and after 5 years I removed tem from notify, and after 9 years, I have zero idea who that player was anymore lol.

Two months later, I got my first pod death, same way, mining jasp in ls with a thorax, got nuked and podded. Needless to say, my wife (at the time my gf) was not happy with the yelling. sigh that too was 9 or so years ago. Forgot that guys name as well. Oh well

I followed our "security officier" in a null-sec roam while being 2 weeks old in a newbie corp.

We were ordered to burn to that Oracle that landed 100km from us in ab frigates.

It didn't end well.

Few years ago I was stupid enough to transport 300M worth loot I got from missions to Jita in industrial. Industrial was alpha-ed, CCP lost couple subscriptions (I had freighter and industrial alts and realized it doesn't worth my time to develop them having blooming hi-sec ganking "industry").

First thing I did after the tutorials was a courier contract for a friend, picking something up in nullsec (docking rights were handled). I got a good bit into nullsec untill I got caught in a bubble on the gate I spawned at. Lost a Rifter and a pod, nothing big, and learned a great deal about nullsec mechanics straight from the gate. Got paid 5 mil for the effort too.

About a week into the game in 2012, I jumped my shiny new missioning Thorax into a system that happened to save me 5 jumps when I changed some map settings. Security 0.4, Hurricane sitting on gate, had no idea that gate crashing was even a thing, thought I could outrun his scram range... Thorax down with nary a shot fired from the meta 4 blasters.

It was November 2005.

Was flying in my new Cormorant and saw someone with a skull. Target... fire! Concorded. It was a yellow skull. Undocked from station in my Badger. Popped by station guns for being a criminal.

Was mining in my Osprey in low sec not long after. Caracal and another ship warped in. I thought... 23KM away? I can warp easily. Nope. Put into hull by the Caracal who had a MWD and Warp Disruptor. Smoke and flame. They were PvP trainees and their trainer called them off.
