Touchscreens and UI

Recently got a touchscreen monitor (Dell E2014T) to see how the Eve UI would function with it, and I've gotten mixed results which folk here perhaps can help iron out.

The biggest hinderence is that the simulated mouse movement and click upon touch seems to be reversed - when I touch something, the mouse appears to click and then move, rather than moving and then clicking. Thus, to activate a module I need to touch the module (the mouse clicks and then moves to module) and then touch deadspace (the mouse clicks and then moves to deadspace). If I forget and touch a module twice to activate it, when I touch elsewhere the module deactivates (as the mouse clicks before moving).

This reversal doesn't happen on the desktop, so I'm figuring this has to be program-specific.

The ability to swipe-pan and pinch-zoom are great, and the UI seems as well laid out for fingers as for a mouse. I'd love to get this functioning for extended use.

Anyone else fiddle with touchscreens for Eve?

I've resorted to using an app which simulates a laptop trackpad on screen as a way to make the game more easily playable on my tablet, but I would really like to see the game become more touch friendly. Thats why i thought the radial menu was implemented. :)

Anyway, the app is called "TouchMousePointer".
