Ship bumping before undock Invulnerability timer expiration.

Didn't something change? I could have sworn I could once warp away instantly from Jita 4-4 using an undock bookmark, now lately I am getting bumped out of align on undock. Am I hallucinaing?

@OP AFAIK bumping shouldn't normally happen during the undock immunity, the moment you leave it then you can be bumped. Jita being Jita you may find that you get a small delay when hitting the warp button, not much but just enough to allow a bump between server ticks.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

You Undock at Jita IV, 4 and your ship will trail straight according to the mechanics. Of course as soon as you right click to warp to an insta, the half a second it takes to spool the warp is all it takes for one or more of the 50 to 200 other people trying to undock to congestion bump you. It's not a malicious bump, just too many ships oozing out of the pipe.

FYI, Jita 4 - Moon 1 is aligned with the Jita 4-4 undock.

Also, check your meds.

This isn't quite accurate; the moment you undock and for a few seconds afterward, your ship is indeed pointing straight out from the undock, however, it then turns to take up its adjusted undock heading. If you undock 10 different times, you will find that you are heading at 10 different angles from the undock, because there is randomness to it within a single max angle of variance.

So, if you undock a freighter, and within about 5 seconds of undocking tell it to warp to your insta-undock, it will every time go directly into warp, without being bumped. There is no 'spool up' where you can be bumped, I've gone into warp with other freighters inside of my ship countless times that were out of their own undock vulnerability (that I know for sure because they have been mine on an alt in some cases for testing purposes) without bumping.

If however, you stall and you wait say, 10 seconds before telling your ship to warp to your insta undock, your ship will have started pointing toward it's adjusted heading, and will need to align before it can go into warp. This specifically, is where you have a large window of where you can, and are being bumped. When using a station like Jita 4-4, if you right click in space before the station loads and obscures much of your screen, you can click to warp to your insta undock, and will, 100 times out of 100, warp without being bumped. It's a fairly short window however depending on load times.

TL:DR, you are getting bumped because you are waiting too long to warp to your insta, and your ship is adjusting to the kickout angle, not the straight undock line.
