RLML, ML, or HAM - High Sec Anomalies

Want to spend the weekend pewpewing some high sec anomalies in me Caracal. In the past I've used Rapid Light Missing Launchers but found the reload time causes the most delay when clearing.

HAMs are great because of the amount of ammo they can hold and the fast reload times but the signature radius of the frigs takes 4 volleys per frig. I could rig to reduce the impact of the sig or swap a hardener for a painter but it feels wrong.

Light Missing Launchers is something I haven't tried yet. Tossing them into EFT shows a sever reduction in DPS but the situation may skew EFT numbers.

I would give it a try but I have this "work" thing in me way. Any constructive thoughts/opinions are appreciated.

I use LML or HML.

I hate small magazine and long reload time of RLML.

Wait, what? You can use Rapid Light Missile Laucnhers, but not regular light missile laucnhers? Something don't sound right.

Light Missiles all the way. The benefit of the rapids is too heavily out weighed by the negative.
Too much trust is put into what EFT says, its useful as a guide to fitting but that's about it.

I use rlml on my gila for hs explo and it works great as a secondary weapon system that can one shot weaker frigs while my drones take care of everything else. hs anoms has a ton of frigs so you really need an efficient way to deal with them and that means hams are prolly not going to work at all. hms might work but you are going to need to accept that you will need to improve application with rigs. thats just how most missile ships work.

if you can fly turret ships then that might be worth looking into as they can insta blap frigs so long as transversal is managed. other option is drone boats like a vexor/navy vexor.

also the caracal has no application bonus on the hull thought the navy caracal has an explosion velocity bonus.

Thus far I think LML win out over time. Especially when you get to larger sites with more targets.

Vexor has treated me very well in null ratting/anoms where competition is nonexistant(if you're doing it right). The delay in damage application from the drones moving from target to target seems too slow in high sec.

Tengu will be done in 20 days or so. Then it will be all HAM I think, and null sec.
