No no no! You misunderstand. Mining is a peaceable pursuit that peace loving folk pursue in the safety of concord's loving embrace. Please we do not need more pilots looking to turn procurers into death barges. I am asking everyone to beseech CCP to correct this travesty and return the procurer to the happy, fun loving and peaceful tool of industry that it once was. Dear readers, if we all join this crusade, perhaps one day New Eden will finally have peace.

You can have your peaceful procurers as long as I get to keep my battul skiff.

For that Procurer to be able to do that amount of Damage with Hammers, there has got to be more to this story.

Ok. Well . . . the procurer pilot is a friend of mine and he told me that he was happily mining away, when for some reason or other he decided take from a wreak that had been sitting there a while. Why he did this, who knows? Perhaps, it was the sleep deprivation from sitting in an ice belt all day. Anyways, shortly thereafter, another friend thought it would be funny to point and shoot him in a battle badger, so he started shooting back.

As these two friends are screwing around and amusing themselves, about 2/3 of the miners in the belt (he says like 10-15 ships including the orca) decided to unload on the procurer. Apparently, these miners are very organized and have hidden channels of communication that allow them to coordinate. Fortunately, this procurer was not your usual procurer but rather a mining barge of flaming death. The procurer, being very op, was able to shake off the incoming dps from the many barges while simultaneously mine ice and point and web the orca. Why does a procurer need a point and web? Well, according to my friend, its so the belt rats dont get away. Anyways, the various barges after a considerable time decided that they could not break this procurer and gave up leaving the orca to its fate. A very few of these barge pilots switched to combat ships but it was no good, they also couldnt break this procurer, even though two of them made the ultimate sacrifice to concord.

Despite my friends request to the orca pilot that this matter be resolved amicably without further violence, the orca pilot decided to bring in a guardian for reps. Strangely though, the guardian did not notice the Lachesis that was sitting off the orca giving it a friendly nudge every now and then.

With the guardian gone, the massive dps of the procurer of doom would not be denied. All of the orca's drones were killed and its fate was sealed, proving once and for all the procurer is true big fish of the mining belts.

On a related note: is this a harbinger of the end for Nulli Secunda?!?!

Truth^^^^

And yes this is clearly a sign from on high as to the end of Nulli Secunda.

It always amuses me to hear gankers/suicide gankers use the same argument that miners were pounded on for using.

Also, the victim is a 3 month old player while the procurer pilot is 3 years old. How well can the Orca pilot really fly that ship?

Where did you get ganker from?

I got the impression that the OP isn't one, and if she is, it's a passably disguised troll.

OP is an alt. So only had his "friend's" corp history and posting history to go by. But yes, this smells like a troll.

Training straight for a dedicated Orca pilot 3 months is plenty of time. Tank won't be worth a ****, but you will be able to provide full boost. Most toons in an Orca are alts anyways.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

I don't see why procurer needs a nerf, honestly. I think mining ships should be tough, and able to fight. Look at the romulan mining ship from star trek 2009 as an example, the ship was armed to the teeth.

If EFT is any indication, Avatar passive regen is 90dps (more 75 with EM heavy damage) and a T2 damage fitted Impairor does some 130 dps damage.
As I said, it would take time, but it would be possible hypothetically.

looks like a WT or suspect bait, killed with a backup fleet on grid... you know you can kill an orca with a frigate if he gets no support, right?

nerf frigates!

Maybe you can stop theory-architecting ships only for highsec.

When you are in the blue doughnut you dont need drones to mine. The only thing that drones will allow you to do is mine afk which should not be encouraged as it is bot like behavior. Procurers are innocent mining vessels, not offensive weapons platforms.

For CCP to allow Orca's to be killed by procurers is such an immersion break. As shown in this video orca's are the top predators in the ocean . There was even a movie about it. Procurers are nothing but the dolphins of the ice belts and there is simply no way that some silly dolphin should be able to take out an orca; at least not without lasers.
