ISIS crashes the game.

5830 running Cat.14.4 on win7

I have the same problem but what is weird is that it only happens on my main character. When i use a brand new character it works just fine o.O ????QuestionQuestionQuestionQuestion

I am experiencing a complete freeze upon opening ISIS since today. This has not happened before (and I used ISIS quite recently and regularly), so I guess it is some minor update that recently got released?
I have an AMD HD 5830

Same problem here, 5850 crashes every time I use ISIS. Latest drivers, no problem on any other games.

Bit pissed off because I initially thought I overheating and I went and paid for a new heatsink to be installed, costing me extra.

We are receiving reports that selecting the DirectX 9 mode in the launcher settings can help as a workaround.

Posadas, could you (and everyone else affected) please try this setting and let us know if this resolves the issue? You can find the option by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the launcher window and selecting the DirectX tab.

I tried to avoid ISIS completely, so i forgot i actually made a topic about it Lol
Problem is that outside ISIS i still experience crashes. It's like 1 every few hours, so its very annoying but not unplayable.
Can't reproduce it like i can with ISIS.

I'm also using a windows 7 and (dual linked) radeon 5850 combo.
Using drivers 14.4

Will try the directx9 settings in the upcomming days and report back.

Did some testing with DX9 setting. Used ISIS for few minutes, went afk for 30min, came back and used for another couple of minutes. No crash so far.
Looks promising, but needs some more testing for sure.
