Thank you very much for your bug report.

1) Item names: If you could post some of the numbers after the ! (They are are type IDs). I'll look into it ASAP.

2) Tracker view: That is most likely a price data problem, try changing the it, to see if that fixes it:
Options > Options.. > Price Data > Price Source
...Just change it to something else and update prices.

screenshots here and here

Tried changing the price data source to Eve-Marketdata from Eve-Central and still get the "failed to update price data" message.

First few items in the Name column are !10039, !10190, !10246.

EDIT: corrected links.

@Hespire Malneant
I'm going on vacation, I will look into it as soon as I get back (about a week).
I'm sorry you have to wait that long to get it fixed Sad

Is there a way to import older transactions into jEveAssets? I have a dump of my transactions from before i started using the app and would love to add those to the database.

Hello
First your program saved my life (60.000+ lines to manage on 2 accounts / 5 characters :p)
Since the 2.6.x version of jeveassets it dont work anymore i've tryed almost all new version that come out but i got eacH time a kind of melmory error (now i have a pop up with something like "run with jmemory.jar" and dont know what is it, and to to use it)
I contacted you already around april i think about thoses memory problem and you gave me some solutions to optimize memory

"Option 1 (recommended):
Give jEveAssets access to more memory:

run the following from the command line (in the jEveAssets dirctory):

java -Xmx4g -jar jeveassets.jar

You can also download the batch file:
http://eve.nikr.net/jeveassets/run_jeveassets.zip
Unzip it, put it in the jEveAssets directory and double click it to run jEveAssets

Option 2:
Split up your accounts in profiles: Options > Profiles
To maximize memory saving, use one profile for each API Key
If you run into problems switching profiles you can do the following:
1) Options > Profiles...
2) Mark the profile you want to load
3) Press the "Default" button
4) Restart jEveAssets (Will load the new default profile)

Option 3:
Save memory:

Disabling history
Options > Options... > Transactions > Uncheck: Save Transactions History
Options > Options... > Journal > Uncheck: Save Journal History
When updating, keep memory to a minimum:
1) Close jEveAssets
2) Start jEveAssets
3) Update > Update... > press OK"

all thoses solutions dont solve my problem :( (about the batch file i much launch it each time before i launch the program ?)

Thanks

Since the Crius release Eve-Assets does not update the Industry Jobs.
I always get this Error:

Industry Jobs Errors" wrote:
com.beimin.eveapi.exeception.ApiException:
java.lang.NullPointerException

Am I the only one with this Problem?
Is this Crius related, or a Problem with my API-Settings?
and most important: How can I fix it?

I get the same error. CCP significantly changed the API for the Crius update, so the jEveAssets code that handles the affected industry API calls "crashes" (in a controlled fashion).

The only way to fix it is to wait for an update that makes jEveAssets Crius compatible.

It's a shame it doesn't work at the moment, I love looking at the "tracker" graph to visualize my Eve wealth, but without support for Crius industry jobs a huge chunk of my total value cannot be properly tracked..

I am having the same issue! I wanted to write a post about my wealth building progress since Crius, but I cannot do that without a working jEVEAssets! Does anyone know a good alternative to use until this is updated? Preferably something that can see industry jobs, too.

Hi, everyone. I'm sorry for not replying in a timely manner.

I will start work on getting jEveAssets working with Crius tomorrow and will release a new version as soon as it's done.
I'm very sorry that jEveAssets have been lacking updates lately, but, I do not have a lot of time to work on jEveAssets ATM.

No worries, Golden! This sort of thing is extremely common for 3rd party software upon major updates for a game. It is great to hear you plan on making jEVEAssets work with Crius! It is still partially functioning, just no longer properly handling some of the asset types. If you accept irl donations like bitcoin or paypal, I will be happy to support your work. :)

A small update. Two things need updating:
1) The backend API library needs to support the new API format (This may need changes in jEveAssets as well). This is the top priority.
2) Static data needs to be update (Hopefully this will be as easy as it used to, simple run the job and done), this will be done last.

It will be done pretty fast unless I hit something I did not expect. Again, I'm very sorry jEveAssets is not working 100% ATM.

jEveAssets 2.8.6 released

Changed:
-Static data updated to Crius 1.0.0
-Removed PE/ME from industry jobs and assets (no longer part of the API)
-Removed BPO/PBC from industry jobs (no longer part of the API)

Bug Fixes:
-Industry Jobs was not updating (due to API changes)

Notes:
-This release is working, but, it have not been tested very well (to get a working version out ASAP). Expect a bug or two to be included.
-No industry job history (that is now a separate API request. It's a feature I would like to bring back ASAP. But, still; no time ATM.)

I want to thank Hydrostatic Podcast for mentioning JeveAssets. This is by far the best asset tool I have every seen or used. Thank you so much for making this! A big thumbs up!

First third party tool to be able to monitor industry jobs via API.

One small, teeny, tiny thing. Would it be possible to have a setting for time zone so you could see job end times in local time instead of having to do the mental math?

@Tzar Sinak
Thank you, happy user FTW :)
Also, a big thanks to Hydrostatic Podcast for promoting jEveAssets!

@Jinxy Ormand
When this thread is full of request to fix it, it's kinda hard to ignore Lol

Sadly a lot of information was removed from the API: ME/PE and the information needed to
distinguish BPOs from BPCs.

So, a worse API + a lot of work to get it working again = I'm not happy about it...
Also, history is not a separate request, I fully understand that, but, It's extra work for me (and It didn't make it into 2.8.6).

EDIT:
Forgot about the feature request:
Could you please post it on UserVoice - I really like the idea and will start work on it as soon as I have time to work on jEveAssets again...

Thank you for your feedback and feature suggestion :)

Found a bug.

The BP_ME / BP_PE column values in settings.xml, if they still exist in the upgrade, crash the program on startup.

Took a bti poking through the log and modifying settings.xml to fix that.

Another issue (not sure if anyone else is experiencing this): industry jobs now work, but don't have an "output value" (all = 0).

This still means a big chunk of my total worth is missing (as it is temporary tied up in manufacturing jobs).

I'm not sure if it is relevant, but the "output count" column for the affected jobs is also 0. I'd suspect this is part of the problem.

Could you tell me if the expected output count is 1 or another number.
I will look into it, when I get the time...

They're manufacturing jobs. I never really looked at this closely, but I'd think that expected output is supposed to be more than 0? As you can see (screenshot below) the manufacturing jobs have varying number of runs. Some should return thousands of items, others 4, others 1.

(the jobs that are showing "output count" as 1 are invention jobs, the ones where it is 0 are manufacturing jobs)
