I am curious if you can just target whoever you like, and start repairing. I watched someone getting trashed in a mission while I waited to salvage their wrecks (unbeknownst to them) and I felt like I could have done something, but I didnt want to fly back with a Logi just to find out that I couldnt do anything anyway.

Oh well. Wasnt worth it, as I decided to pop in and remote rep three different people, and all of them took off within about 15 seconds. One, I am pretty sure, swore me out in Russian...

It would be more fun if we were able to rep the rats. Twisted

.

Hisec residents tend to get extremely agitated when faced with human interaction. It's best to either switch the reps to antimatter or just leave them be.

Because "human interaction" in EVE usually results in someone exploding. Can you blame them for being paranoid? At least they're not AFK.

Everytime I'm in highsec and sitting in station for a while I'll start rambling in local, saying hello to folks, asking how their space day is going, get directions to the nearest station with coffee facilities etc.

Meet some fun people as a result! Big smile

But by-and-large you're correct, most people stay silent in fear that some saucery will spew forth from my glossy black lips leading to their doom.

That's why I said usually! Big smile

Seriously, though - if you're just humming along, missioning, and someone warps in to your pocket and locks you up, it's probably not a good idea to stick around just in case they want to rep you.

You can rep anyone but beware that you will inherit any suspect/criminal flags if they are being naughty. You will also be a valid target for whoever is fighting the guy you're repping. And on top you will get a weapons timer meaning no gate jumps/docking for at least 1 min.

I'm not sure, but don't you get concorded if you rep NPCs?

Yep, unfortunately it's classed as a hostile action.

But that Gist vessel was in grave danger from that maniacal mass murderer! I've seen the destruction he leaves in his wake!

Being able to rep rats would be great! A whole new career of mission ransoming! You should only get a suspect flag for that, not CONCORD.

Zappity's Adventures for a taste of lowsec and nullsec.
