You are getting annoying.

You keep quoting the forum rules on redundant posts, but fail understand that your replies are redundant in themselves. So stop cluttering up the forum.

Post constructively or not at all.

Oh, Im sorry. I thought forums were a place for exchange of ideas. Seemingly redundant or not, everyone knows no one reads 100 page long threads and anything contributes to them is just wasted effort becuase it is lost in the sheer volume. Besides, if it's original to the poster who says it's redundant?

What? The forum is running out of ink and paper that we have to conserve? How about deleting mega-old threads with outdated data instead. That alone would cut down the clutter.

if you don't like the forum rules, stop using the forums.

also, you're wrong about literally every point you just made.

This isnt about not liking the forum rules, It's about those non-ISD who feel entitled to break them in the name of enforcing them. thus contributing to the forum clutter.

In other forums it is called mini-modding, and it's not allowed for that very reason.

Maybe that rule should be added here as well.

So basically you're saying only you should be allowed to post whatever you want.

EDIT: Also you're doing the exact same thing you're complaining about in the OP

I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do?

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

11. Discussion of forum moderation is prohibited.

The discussion of EVE Online forum moderation actions generally leads to flaming, trolling and baiting of our ISD CCL moderators. As such, this type of discussion is strictly prohibited under the forum rules. If you have questions regarding the actions of a moderator, please file a petition under the Community & Forums Category.

12. Spamming is prohibited.

Spam is defined as the repetitive posting of the same topic or nonsensical post that has no substance and is often designed to annoy other forum users. This can include the words “first”, “go back to *insert other game name*” and other such posts that contribute no value to forum discussion. Spamming also includes the posting of ASCII art within a forum post.

16. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.

22. Post constructively.

Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.

Pretty sure all of them apply, so a forum mod will probably be along lately to slap your wrist Big smile

You leave Doc Fury alone!!!

Also your last post is pretty much, in your own words, contributing to clutter.

2/10 would not read again.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

No, he didn't post what you want. He posted what he wanted.

But he was asking if you thought you should be able to post what you want, while others should not be able to post what they want.

Simple.

Also, IB4L for ranting (I should post the rule quote, just to fit right into this thread).

as i pointed out; if people would stop breaking the forum rules, people would stop pointing it out. they're not hard rules to follow but even you, as magnificent as you think you are, seem incapable of such a simple thing.

So what your saying, is its bad for people to point out the rules of the forums to others? You tell someone their post is bad or invalid because it breaks a rule, and that makes you a rent a cop in your mind eh?

I guess it annoys you when we tell you your posting in the wrong forum section as well.

Well guess what buttercup, it annoys us when you post the exact same thread for the 300th time, with 5 other threads on the front page of GD talking about the exact same thing. It also annoys us when you post in the wrong sub-forum again cluttering up these forums.

This point here is also invalid, who are you to say which thread be it "Mega old" or not is more relevant, so because you start a new thread on the exact same topic as the "mega thread" we should trash that one and adopt yours?

Is referring to redundant topics, not redundant posts on a thread.

The OP, can use this search function to find posts, and see if its original or not, its not exactly hard.

Even by posting this you are attempting to be the forum rent a cop that your claiming others are. Pot meet kettle.

How come the troll thread on the 3M Strike is still open, but has had replies deleted due to trolling?

The creator has admitted the thread is trolling, so what gives?

Also, I am aware discussing ISD decisions is an electrocutable offence, but as we are all rioting in here, I though I might as well get in on that.

Don't ever change Doreen.

You are one of the standout contributors here and the place would be duller if you changed. Somehow though I think you are immune to the general scorn for your posts and threads.
