Like the title says.

Security missions have real rocks to mine put some in mining missions.

You Miners think you have it so damn tough.  When I first started playing we didnt even have mining lasers.  You had to fly close to an asteroid.....pop a hatch and gnaw at it with your teeth.   - Bitter Vet

You have them in Security missions if you relay want to have private belt.
LVL 2 lvl 3 missions are easy

Private Belt isn't the goal. The goal is to make Mining missions enjoyable AND rewarding game content.

something like,
Remove all asteroids from this location to clear the space lanes of rouge asteroids.
compensation for your time will be the contents of the roids plus Gratitude(LP) with (faction)

make a few random roids spawn inside their mission area, all balanced to a maximum m3 depending on the mission level.

level 1, 5k m3
level 2, 20k m3
level 3, 50k m3
level 4, 100k m3
level 5, 250k m3

the reward would change each time you do the mission depending on the ores that spawn.

Instead of cleaning the mission ore or raths, just empty the grid

So simple, so easy, I like it, wierd this hasn't come up before.

Noted, hope you don't mind.

Would need to be an 'as well as the mission ore' missions. Otherwise all miners would vanish into mining missions to gain LP along side their ore.
Hmmm, In saying that, it would make mining more lucrative without changing the amount of ore being produced, bringing it at least closer to a standard income rather than EVE's equivalent of a minimum wage job. So that could be a good thing.

Private belts! Down with player interaction and emergent game play! Wait....

Really what would this add to the game? There are plenty of rocks out there already. If you want belts that have to be scanned down put them in low/null as a reward for people who take the plunge and leave hi sec.

We used to have belts that had to be scanned down, now they all just appear in scan.

We had them. Now they're just there on the system scanner, no probe needed.

I want to make Mining missions better than what they are. Doesnt have a hidden agenda. Not trying to kill emergent gameplay or any of that other crap. What is the damn harm of putting a few mineable rocks in MINING missions....

Damn dude get off your soap box.....you sound like a simple troll.

Then don't troll the OP .... SMH

Let me explain so that you might better understand.

If a reply comes back hey....a few rocks in mining missions will keep miners out of the static belts and I cant gank them without having to scan them down. I could agree with this if CCP were to put too many rocks in the mining missions, but with that said, I would also argue that scanning is a valueable tool to have in the pilot toolbox so dont give into to laziness and not use it.

If a reply comes back with the standard "I'm trying to be cute" Private belts! Down with player interaction and emergent game play! Wait....

This does not lead to good discussion due to the fact the poster is not serious about his/her post and is actually more intent on trying to make the OP look silly for proposing the idea in the first place.

Although both are critical of the OP's idea, the latter is a troll post.

If you require further clarification, please feel free to PM me as I am now way off topic.

OP says to put real rocks in mining missions because real rocks appear in security missions.

Instead, we should be asking that since real rocks appear in security missions, real rats should appear in mining missions.

Not sure about the "instead of" but I could easily get behind "in addition to".

Thanks for the input!!!

How about just having the mining mission ores appear in space, alongside all the regular ores? Then players could mine them, and deliver them to agents for mission-like rewards, or as required items for loyalty point store purchases. Since LP purchases requires ISK, this would function as an ISK sink.

It doesn't make much sense that NPC mining corps would require pirate tags in exchange for their mining implants. If they required special ores that seems like a better match to me.

They're already there. It is not something new. I think OP is suggesting a little... well... "relocation" to a place more relevant ?
