That fit is absolutely terrible. You need T2 mining drones. On all ships. Never know when you come across that nifty Veldspar asteroid.

Prime Node. Ask me about augmentation.

Drones are easily lost, remember? Why waste ISK on a fancy-shmancy tech 2 stuff, when a good old Mining Drone I can do the same work? Also, not everyone has Mining Drone Operation trained to V, and this is a beginner's guide thread, after all!

I think that's the button next to looting.

Oh, I see! It's the button with the mushroom cloud on it, right next to the shiny treasure chest button. Thanks for setting me straight.

I know one!

A Procurer makes up for an excellent ship to kill those darn Guristas. And makes more money too since you can "mine" their wrecks after you're done with them! And if you're lucky you might just find some nifty Pyroxes lying around!

Also, always save the coordinates of a wormhole before and after you enter it! It will save you time!

I remember the mushroom cloud button! In a hologame many, many years ago - I was a child - it made my spaceship to launch. I guess the Neocom analogy is... Undock Twisted

The best advice I can give if you're in a frigate combat against another frigate: Don't use void with blasters; Don't use hail with autocannons; Don't use conflagration with pulse lasers.

Young uns. Remember while dps might win the fight, it's defense that wins championships.
So double tank religulously (shields and armor) and punch through anything like a jar of red juice through a wall.

I just fit smartbombs on everything and Sig tank.

*sighs*

Shield and armour tank are useless.

As I’m living in a converted cargo hold in my Tengu now neither of these methods seems to be able to stop the noise from several voices outside my ship when I’m docked in a hangar. I keep hearing an echo of my own voice too getting in the way and being all frustrated. The worst thing is that the other voices keep shouting personal politics that have nothing to do with me and it makes it really hard to sleep or to stop my echo, or to even talk to someone about it stopping because I don’t understand all that stuff being on my own.

I told the voices a while back I don't want to be stuck in the middle of their noise and I’d really just like to wake up feeling good so I can enjoy learning to fly my ship without being tortured by confusion and losing what little identity I have completely. I know I’m young and I've made mistakes but I’ve dragged myself out of mud and survived enough times to know, like, it’s really sooo immature, you know. It's like finding dirty stuff on the Galnet you wouldn't want your own child to be involved in when she grows up and asking yourself what's wrong with this picture?

And just as I was making progress at silencing my echo with lots of fluffy nonsense, some new songs, chocolates and stuff, making my ship easier and more enjoyable to pilot I get woken up again by noise so I can’t sleep properly. Never mind that I was going to announce my own little enterprise to start being my own person … I was looking forward to that a lot as a fresh start. Maybe I should think about a fish tank instead or crawling into a wormhole?

Six years. Long six years I was a pod pilot, flying around stars, chasing space scum, bringing order to systems, dying to superior numbers and losing those, who were dear to me. I had crews, been member of teams, fleets, even corporations, run by other capsuleers. But all this time I was nothing, but a meat, flying in a hydrostatic capsule. Just a reusable controlling module of combat ships, fighting in the name of the State.

Some peoples say we aren't humans anymore. Others say we are. Everyone of them are right in their sense. On one hand, we are, indeed, same humans. Maybe with artificial, but bodies. Maybe with implanted, but brains. Maybe with repeatable, but deaths... But with same hopes, wishes, desires, fears and motivations. What makes us not humans, is that we were cut out from society. We can still hold our citizenship papers, but there, on ground, among regular citizens, we are pariahs.

We are not members of baseliner companies anymore, we don't fight in squads, shoulder to shoulder to your friends. The only thing that embraces us it the hydrostatic liquid. We work, we fight and we die alone. And everything around us becomes just a noise. Just like engine throttle, that roars, trembles and rends the air inside your ship, but outside, in space, it is silent despite its violent nature, because there is no media to deliver sound in the space. And it might be surprising, even to inside of our capsule this sound barely reaches, we hear just simulated version of it. Or maybe recorded outside and retranslated.

But it is not real.

The reality is the silent void emptiness of space.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

... did someone sneak medication and/or various narcotics into Diana Kim's food or did all that effort clenching her rear thrusters finally cause an aneurysm?
