I still have my original destroyer from the career missions repurposed as a salvage boat.

I remember using a hurricane as a dedicated salvager because it had 8 highs and could get the most cargo space.

I use a stealth bomber to salvage... because, despite all the wishful thinking in the world, I still can't fit torps on a Cormie. Just saying. Blink

In regards to those who hate missions

What would YOU personally like seen done to them to make them more enjoyable?

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear.

In regards to being polite; post a thread of your own instead of trying to hijack this one

No, I don't even bother to salvage anymore. Find salvaging too boring these days.

Edit: I do still loot however, as I use the minerals to make my own ammo.

As an inhabitant of deep dark holes (wat) salvage is a must.
We use Noctis, but i will start recommending the use of Dessies.

The only surprising thing to me is that people still use a Noctis. When I was in wormholes this is what we did:

1) Carry MTUs;
2) Warp to site, drop MTU;
3) Complete site, warp to next;
4) Drop MTU;
5) When out of MTU's, go back to first site and pick one up
6) Warp to next, drop MTU;
7) When sick of killing sleepers put expensive ships away;
8) Take cheap ass destroyers and warp to MTU bms;
9) Salvage up the nanoribbons and blue loot;
10) Warp to next site 2min later and repeat.

I killed a few Nocti once MTUs became a thing and I could never understand why. I was grateful that they brought expensive ship out for me to kill, but still unclear as to why they'd do such a thing. Even if some one wanted to kill one of the MTU's to steal our stuff, they have a stupid amount of hitpoints and we'd probably have enough time to reship and come kill them.

Now that I'm in nullsec I don't even salvage. Drop a MTU to collect the loot and leave everything else.

No - But I still have my old Mining Thorax and Apoc from before mining ships were even a thought.
