I want to make a thread about dreams we have had. So if you want, post in here if you have a crazy dream to talk about.

I have been dreaming a lot in recent times, having many dreams per night and usually remembering them fairly vividly.

I've heard if you are dreaming more frequently than usual that is a sign of turmoils going on in your life or your life is being very hectic at that time.

Dreams are some of the craziest things. Sleeping itself is just crazy isn't it? Like we just shut down for a few hours when we need to recharge lol... "k guys I'm going to shut down for a bit, see you later" it's pretty weird when you think about it.

Here's a dream I had last night, I would consider it a nightmare, though it's not the normal kind like being chased by the boogeyman or anything but here it goes.

I'm catching a cab somewhere, I can't really remember where I was or what I was doing, but I'm in the passenger seat, it's a van cab, I remember thinking the driver was a weirdo but I can't remember what we were talking about. We're driving down a back-alley type of area but it seems a little bit futuristic or something, it's definitely not normal. He crashes the cab into the side of a fire truck and we are injured. The authorities bust us out of the mangled cab and rescue us. IIRC they let the cab driver go, I don't know why, and they arrested ME. So they arrest me for like no reason and bring me to a very strange jail. Officer walks me down the cell block, the bars of the cells are all painted blue, I never looked into any of them as we strolled past the entire cell block.

The officer says, as we near the end of the cell block, "you wanna see the cell you're gonna sleep in, punk?" and he brings me to the very end of the cell block where there is one big cell, fit for a group of people. As we near the cell door, I see the cement slabs they use for beds in there and to my horror I noticed on each bed is a pair of shackles which I guess would attach to your wrists or ankles. On some of the beds people are cuffed to the beds, and, sadly, I realize this is the area where they cuff people and molest them, probably repeatedly, for god-knows-how long.

They never got a chance to bring me into this cell however. I realized what was going on and started screaming, "no, no no NO!" I was about to start fighting, I wasn't going in there without a goddamn fight, they'd have to kill me or seriously subdue me but I would have fought to the bitter end for sure, but I woke up just before they attempted to drag me into the cell.

Woke up with a pounding heart thinking, thank god that was just a ******* dream.



On the same night I had a dream where I was at an indoor swimming complex. But , on top of the pool of water, there was a playground like Wiggles n' Giggles, with tubes twisting up and around all over the place. You could climb up into the tubes and climb around and explore, and then slide out of it like a water slide into the pool. So I was adventuring in this strange place, but at the same time I am having a gun shootout like Call of Duty, using a sniper rifle to try and pick off the enemy. I kept aiming and shooting but I kept missing every target, but they would return fire and make my screen go red and I would have to take cover before I died to recharge my health. After a while I made my way to the top of the Wiggles n' Giggles playground. For some reason, before I came down the slide, I took all of my clothes off and got naked. Then I went down the slide and back into the pool. I was swimming around naked, and I was fine, but the other people in the pool started getting angry because I was skinny dipping and they didn't like that, so I was trying to get back to the top of the playground to find my clothes, but the dream ended before I could find them.

For a couple of years I had dreams that were entirely third-person. In other words, I didn't even appear in them as a character. They were all like movies, about other people. And they had really coherent plots that flowed along smoothly and actually told stories.

Pretty freaky, it makes you wonder how your mind came up with something like that. I was doing a fair amount of meditation-type mental exercises at the time, so that may have had something to do with it.

Then for a while I was very into playing guitar, and I'd have dreams with original music in them. Not an entire song, but some meloday, motif, phrase or riff. And fully "produced," with vocals, bass, drums, keyboards, etc. Sometimes the music resembled some jam I'd happened upon on the guitar before bed-- but instead of being a random noodling phrase left hanging, it had the next part "resolved."

I have been dreaming recently of an armed robbery with many robbers equipped with Kalashnikovs and in the final every one of the people inside the building have been shoot to death, with robbers being shoot by some guys that looked like police officers, after that some janitors have been dancing and cleaning blood of the floor, when vaudeville music played and Bert and Ernie have been sitting on a perch and singing a song about how happy they were.

What can be more crazy than sesame street combined with manslaughter? Evil Elmo?

And it was so surprising. Nothing in my life have been similar to this, and I don't watch television and sesame street for quite some time, about 20 years.

Another dream that have been rather strange is about me trying to blow myself up with dynamite to see how it is, when the dynamite exploded, I have literally stretched over and returned to my previous shape but slightly blinded and deafed. I did not die. I tried another one time with more dynamite, this time I have been even less stretched. Then I just abandoned this and decided to drown myself in a pond. This time when I was in a pond and submerged the dream slowly blurred and started to "shrink" to an ultimate end. Succesfully I killed myself in a dream, but I did not feel anything, nor there was anything special about it, or after it. How sad.

My happiest dream ever was where I found a pillow that would let me fly.

My worst dream ever an alligator was chasing me and it just couldn't be stopped by walls or doors.

My weirdest dream ever was me sniffing flowers on the beach, and my roommates were "fascists" who would come down from a guard tower and chase me down the coast in those motorcycles with sidecars.

I once had a dream of being a captain in a medieval rebellion. It was the most vivid dream I have ever had.

In this dream I was in the middle of a battle field. I was wearing full plate with no helmet, bastard sword in my hand was covered in blood. On my shield was the crest of those who I was fighting for, three goats heads under a knight's helm. I was out of breath and surrounded by carnage. I looked up and saw a castle in the distance, the gates were opening and men on horses (not sure if they were knights or not) came charging at me.

I shouted for my men to form up and we positioned ourselves with our shields raised and spears pointed towards them. From the castle they fired a volley of flaming arrows. I ducked behind my shield, but one penetrated and buried itself in my right shoulder. Our catapults started firing and thinned out the cavalry charging at us and soon they were in full retreat.

I shouted for my men to charge and we charged towards the castle. As we neared it, the gates started to close. I was the only one to make it through the gates and I found my self completely surrounded. I looked up in time to see a hail of arrows coming at me.

I woke up with sharp pains all over my body and my wife said I was sweating and talking in my sleep.

Yeah, I had a dream about a rather strange looking fellow (named Funny Named Dude or some sort of name like that) from Rookie Chat after my first night on EVE. Of course I did not mention it to him.. it felt kind of weird. Though I don't remember what happened.. I remember his head inside a green square exactly like his portrait looked like except on a normal body and.. I forgot the rest.

It's weird how you get amnesia effect with some dreams.

Any why no Doreen smart-alecky interpretation for my dreams?

Dreams? hardly have them... or more like not wake up to remember them, or just too abstract to be recognized as a dream. No, I just recall nightmares, about every other night or so. I used to have regular dreams, but not for some years now, hardly anymore. Most of my nightmares are of friends and family, family mostly: screaming in pain, hacked up, crushed, dieing, dead, pulled apart (like last night), blown up, falling, electrocuted, on fire, drowning, suffocating, poisoned, trauma, all sorts of stuff. yuP...

Hm? A joke? It's not me doing it, or then I guess they wouldn't be nightmares exactly. I just happen to be the sucker.. er the one everyone calls on for family hospice care in the family. I guess it just gets to you eventually. Yes yes torturing small animals whatever :/

I've had Eve dreams as well, although it was just me playing the game pretty much. But I wasn't playing on the computer, I was like, in the game, but it was still just the game, point and click and fly around and stuff. But in my dream I was leading a group of ships through Null-sec and we kept getting into awesome space battles and destroying ship after ship.

I had dreams last night, but I just cannot remember what they were for some reason today. I remember I was trying to go somewhere with my brother, but I ended up getting lost or something. But it's not really coming back to me.

Silly, because I went to bed thinking, ok, gotta have dreams tonight so I can go and type out what happened on my Dreams thread on that forum. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.
