I docked my pod recently and was given an Ibis... not the Ibis I knew and loved! What the hell are they doing?

These 'redesigns' should be added to the game as new ships, not replacement models for old ships. They could have introduced an Ibis Mark II, and started giving them out from that point on, but left the old ones as they were.

I would love to get the old Apocalypse, Napoc and Paladin back... But that is all nostalgia, we need to move towards a new future with this game.

Cool. But, for me it's not nostalgia. It is an aesthetic preference. I hate some of the new ships. They look and feel like pop music to me. I like the band Wipers. I hate the band Creed (and every other Creed replica that has spawned from the pits of hell since their inception). To me, the difference is kinda like that. The new Gila makes me gag. The old one made me feel like I was piloting a military space ship. The new one feels like a brown UPS peace dove.

If you like any of the older ship models (original artwork) better than the redesign of your favorite hull and don't want them to be lost forever, support ship customization and this feature request.
