im looking to start incursions as iv never run them before and id like to try aspects of game i havent before. the problem is i have no idea how to fit a ship for incursions iv looked around and found them all similar but for vindi there is rail user and blaster user and since its vindi ill be using im not sure which to go and which is more useful in fleets. Any help on this would be great i already guessed not overly expensive as gankers will be ganking.

also while on subject of incursions how easy is it to get in a fleet and how active are they through day is its 24/7 or like 12/7?

Some quick answers;
Both Blaster and Rail gets used depending on what the FC needs more of.
Ships rarely get ganked in a fleet they usually are only at risk when traveling from one Incursion to another.
Incursions run 23.5 hour a day, different groups run at different times but some groups run all day long.
This link will take you to a thread with a list of some of the groups, and the links for each group on that page will take you to some web sites that have all the fitting advice you should need.

And the other 30 pages on that thread will answer pretty much any other questions you might have, but if not feel free to post there and someone will fill in the blanks.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

Eve University has a nice wiki page full of info on skills needed, fits, roles, and what not.

http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Incursions

Also, do note that their fits might not be what other communities are looking for so have an open mind on that regard and don't be disappointed that you get rejected for fleets with other communities.

Eliminator2:

First of all, I think you've made a wise decision with pursuing incursions. They provide endless amounts of fun, lawls, and even more ISK if done right.

For damage dealing hulls in shield tanked communities, you're looking at faction hulls with T2 shields and faction or T2 guns. Machariels, Nightmares, Vindicators are all very in demand ships. This won't be the cheapest way into incursion fleets, but it can be some of the most fun.

If you have (or are willing to train) logistic skills, you can fly a Basilisk or Scimitar with a much lower ISK entry point (generally around ~200M ISK). A lot of communities also fully insure logistics ships in case you are killed.

The thread goldiee linked to you is a fantastic resource, and if you have any more questions I would suggest you post there to get great answers.

Good luck and have fun!
