Since Kronos i'm having problems with ISIS.
Everytime I open ISIS the game/windows 7 crashes completely within 30 seconds.

Haven't had time to play alot since patch, so 'm not sure if i'd experience other crashes too but ISIS seems to be the problem.

I find myself also experiencing this problem. Opening ISIS results in an immediate lockup of the computer which can only be solved by hard rebooting the machine.

Going to update my drivers now and try again.

Similar issues here, opening ISIS crashes EVE, instantly.
Not the rest of the PC, I can get to the Task Manager and kill the EVE executable, and then the system is fine, but something in the client is going wrong when it's accessing ISIS.

I have seen bug reports about graphics driver crashes, when opening the ISIS, mostly with slightly older AMD drivers.

Could you please update your drivers and report back, if this changed anything?

Operating System is Windows 7 Ultimate with a Radeon HD 5850 graphics card.

Unfortunately an update to the video drivers hasn't solved the issue, I suffer a complete system crash and am required to hard reset the machine whenever I attempt to use ISIS.

The version of the driver I upgraded to was the catalyst driver released 14th April 2014.

Looking at the information supplied via tickets it seems that the 5800 Radeon series is a fairly common factor. Also from teh various DxDiag reports submitted the drivers used by the affected players are fairly old (2013).

If you experience these crashes/freezes and have a 5800 series card then please update your drivers and hopefully that will help.

I've updated to the latest drivers available from Radeon and it hasn't helped as of now.

Same here, crashes after opening ISIS. I have tried 2 different graphics cards as well. ATi Radeon 5870 and 5850. Newest Catalyst 14.4 drivers installed. I even took out all my RAM and only have 1x 2GB Module installed for testing purposes out of the 6GB normally installed.

Radeon 5850

Radeon 5870

So developers... Hope my diags help you solve the error. It is quite frustrating.

I got crash in ISIS with 5850, and also similar crashes in missions.
Changing graphics card to 4670, going down to legacy-13.9 drivers "solved" the issue.

Windows 7, AMD 5870, running Catalyst 13.4

That's a pretty old driver I notice, I'll update it and try again.

What did you change btw?
As it worked just fine and dandy prior to Kronos, and even worked fine with the SiSi builds.

Good, upgraded the drivers to Catalyst 14.4 and I'm happy to report that ISIS works again as it should. Big smile

Not sure what's different in my system from some of the others where the driver update didn't fix the issue, but I'm glad to have it resolved.

I have the same problem running on HD5850 with the latest 14.4 drivers. However, ISIS is not the only thing that locks my computer but idling in hangar or in space also triggers it. Any other game runs fine for several hours straight.

Are you running at "Interval Immediate" or "Interval 1" in the settings?
Because if it's on immediate, you could simply be overheating due to the runaway framerate in a low GPU load situation.

EVE love's running 300+ FPS if it's not doing much, and that tends to try and set your GPU on fire just a little.

Interesting, I will try that out.

Edit; Seems like I have always been running with Interval One.

I think CCP made it default to Interval One a good while ago, but plenty of people prefer to run it on Immediate.

But that's not it then, really odd though.

I seem to have narrowed it down and it is indeed caused by ISIS. The lock-up can happen at random, from the very second you open ISIS up to a minute or two. Closing ISIS during the time you don't get a lock-up will end up locking your system anyway, its just a matter of time.

Edit, I might have found another culprit for the immediate freeze with ISIS. Viewing certain ships in 3D through ISIS will cause an immediate system lock-up that requires a system reboot. However, viewing the same ship through market will NOT freeze the system. And I seem the be the only one among my friends that have this issue. Gona try and reset some settings/cache.

Edit 2, Clearing cache>remove local files>reinstalling seems to have fixed it.

Also having this issue with ISIS since Kronos, as soon as I click it I get "Display Driver has crashed, but has recovered" and my game freezes up. Running a Radeon HD series 5830, with windows 7 ultimate 64bit. I tried updating to most recent drivers and then when I clicked ISIS it decided to reboot my computer instead.

So far I've done all of the above and nothing is working, it's bad enough that I've had to remove ISIS from the hotbar until it's fixed. It doesn't really affect me in any enormous way, ISIS is cool but it's by no means game breaking that I can't use it. Just a bit frustrating at times when you click it by accident and it crashes your entire PC.
