Moderation is getting worse

I have to say, the forum moderation is becoming beyond ridiculous. The amount of topics that get closed, just for absolutely stupid reasons is becoming out of control. Its almost draconian. The problem is its so random that it seems its purely based on what the forum moderator is feeling that day. the ISDs feel they have they ultimate power to be complete idiots.

There I said it, ill prob get a forum ban etc etc but it needs to be said, because petitions just get ignored. (but so will this post)

IB4L and all that. before you troll the usual rubbish..

(and no I haven't posted an its got locked, just noticed it a lot)

All my views are my own - never be afraid to post with your main, unless you're going to post some dumb shit

What's wrong with redundant rants that have been said time and time again getting locked?

Petitions and the forums are not the same thing, either.

Lockhammer happens when people break the rules. Most of us have no problem attempting to follow the rules.

Please elaborate on why you feel that contentless rants, insults to the ISD (Who work damn hard for no thanks, btw) and repeated complaints about stuff the majority have no issue with should not be locked?

The point is that your thread is both rule breaking and above all shite. Hence it will get locked, and deservedly so.

As others have said, no content of any worth has been lost by the ISD folks doing their job.

Honestly, when looking at other communities I've played or worked in (and considering the rules we have here in a literal sense) I think we're afforded an enormous amount of freedom and leniency.

I totally agree with the original poster.

It even got to the point when I contacted support on the matter. Well...it was too unlock one of my threads that got locked for no appearent reason...and also to point out this problem in general.

I definately think a revise of the moderation policies is in place. I think it is much better to remove comments or reprimand repeat offenders instead of locking whole threads...which is a very blunt tool.

I mean in this day and age where you almost can discuss anything on the internet it is silly to lock threads for no reason or because a debate is getting a litle heated. Too much lockings like that and I think people will start to use external forums to discuss EVE more and more...

Now...don't misunderstand me please. There are ofcourse some really nasty things like racism, bullying or other that shouldn't be allowed but locking threads because there is a discussion going on...I mean please...

But ure actually true... Mods here aint doing their job correctly.... i made a post about it, it got closed, so i sent a ticket about it and they just ignores the problem completly... CCP show no will to fix it, they just oil up a machinery thats so broken it cant be fixed...

The mods are the result of angry People that got their threads closed so many times and they are now on the revenge.
