Question regarding Thanatos bonus

So the traits of the Thanatos indicate that the Gallente bonus is 5% to fighter damage. When checking out fighters on the market, I was looking at the info on the Dragonfly fighter. Out of all the fighter variants, this is the only one that has a "Variations" tab in it's information panel. In this tab, it indicates that the new Gecko drones are a faction variant of it.

The question is, is the fact that the Gecko is displayed as a Dragonfly faction variant a bug? Or does this mean that the Gecko would indeed receive the Thanatos 5% Fighter damage bonus if the pilot fielded Gecko drones with it?

Apologies ahead of time if this is common knowledge - been out of game for a while and just coming up to speed on all the changes.

My guess is that it will not. You find the Gecko under faction heavy drones. I reckon it's under the variant tab just because they share hull.
