I just encountered a MTU looting my wrecks (I had not abandoned them)

Not a big deal as I just blew it up.. if this was an intended change. I kinda like it.
However, I could not find anything in the patch notes so I am wondering if its a bug?

Maybe the name of it should be changed to Mobile Theft Unit.

at 5mil+ per MTU, it seems completely reasonable that it would be able to steal wrecks, but be fair game for anyone to shoot even in highsec. Provides a 'defend your loot if you care' mechanic, that is not so profitable when the people who own the wrecks just blow up the MTU and cost the thieves isk.

It isn't looting wrecks from others, it's harvesting tears when they see all their loot gone.

Working as intended.

It has it's own sense of entitlement.

Conflict creator right there.

Which is why I like it.. It will give people more reason attack/defend them.
Prior to the expansion the MTU's did not behave this way so I was hoping to find out if this is indeed a new feature since I can't find anything in the patch notes.

As officially intended or just how we hope it is intended?

Since iirc, you can engage a MTU without flagging yourself, seems fair enough. Let it do its job, blap it, scoop yer loot.

According to CCP Masterplan in this post, it should only tractor in wrecks you have loot rights to.

So you probably found a bug. Best advice I can give is to submit a bug report and not post about it on the forum any more.
