Fighter Drones - Not benefiting from tracking?

Despite having tried to fit on Omnidirectional Tracking Link II's, the tracking of my fighters remain the same. Everything else appear to work, so I can improve their speed, range, dmg, but not tracking.

I have been all up and down the dev logs and I can't find anything about Tracking being discriminated against. Anyone know if this is a bug or what is going on?

How do you measure the tracking on your fighters?

After activating the modules, I check the information of the fighter by reopening the information window (with the fighter/drone in the drone bay). This works for dmg and everything else, but some reason it doesn't display changes in the Tracking. It doesn't do it for drones either, so I'm not sure if its just a display bug or soemthing

The links are active now and use scripts. Load the tracking scripts & activate modules, then check again.

I am using Tracking Scripts, and the modules are active, still no change.

Try with the drone in space not in the bay.

It will display the default values when in space, no matter what. As for activating the module after launching them, this i have already tried, and when they return to the bay with the modules left on, the values are still unaffected.

Please provide location, I will send a technician. Twisted

Have you tested to see if the tracking updates as you would expect with regular drones?

I've noticed this too.

I wish like hell they would fix this.

I have done testing now, and it doesn't appear to be a display problem, but rather that tracking is uneffected

Yeah, I just checked. omnidirectional tracking links activated or not, regardless of tracking/range/no script aren't affecting drones. This also includes sentries.

Time to go make a post in GD

i've noticed this on my sentry ishtar; no matter if you fit tracking or optimal script the drones stats do not change;

Noticed this as well, it definitely a drone-wide problem.

I just got a reply from a dev who personally tested it. Apparently it's a UI bug only and the DB does in fact update with the new stats.

Edit: I'd post the mail but idk if that's allowed.

The effect of a scripted omnidirectional on a sentry is quite obvious. Easily tested with curator (due to the long optimal and small falloff).

It doesn't display on the UI though.

Fozzie actually confirmed that bug in another thread.
