ive only really just started to get into this and at the mo im using a caracal but keep getting my ass kicked when it comes to pvp pve it works fine though lol
so im wondering if any of the kind people here could recommend me a few ships for the 2 jobs pls ?? :) oh and some builds would be fantastic from the people who know a thing or two ;) thx
I have the skills to fly caldari gallente cruisers and I have heavy missile/assault maxed and med hybrid + most skills in drones too.

I have a few hundred mil but can sell a few ships to get more if needed

but anyway thx for any info n help any 1 can offer me as just doing missions is getting a bit dull for me

Are u saying that u are actively looking for pvp when u are ratting or are u getting yourself into pvp situation u actually dont want?


Vexor. But u really wont do well with both pvp and pve with the same fit.

If u dont want to pvp while u rat the vexor can actually fit a big enough tank with 1-2 stabs and 750 DPS. If u want both in one package u will be slower while ratting.

well I keep getting into trouble when ratting lol but I would like 2 ships 1 good for ratting... n maybe if some 1 comes for me I could escape or even give them a good run for there money cos the caracal just aint upto much for me ...
and 2nd a nice ship that I can use purely for pvp and hunting down the gankers but I would need a build for that ship as ive not really done a ship for pvp
at mo im using caracal for both and the builds aint much diff other than heavy missiles n heavy assault missile

If the ratting you're referring to is belt-ratting, I like using Assault Frigates like the Enyo, they do enough dps and have enough tank to take out even the hardest belt rats (Clone Soliders) while maintaining a full PvP fit and being agile enough to get away if someone comes with something that can kill you.

I concure about the use of assault frigs. In blood space (when I lived in low I had Meh drone skills) the retribution did excellent work with belt rats and still quick enough to bolt if trouble showed up. Now granted that was before interceptors got so fast so milage will vary.

Also given the drone buffs I'd bet an enyo/ishkur would be very efficient modus/belt hunters.
