A suggestion about the creation of new missions

I don´t know how hard to use are current tools or how hard would be to develop them, but since we don´t get any new missions from CCP, how about giving us a tool to create new missions, upload them to Sisi for testing, and them move the best ones to Tranquility?

So you want CCP to do 10x the amount of work so they can be spammed with "ONE BILLION BOUNTY BS SSSSSS MISH!"?

Honestly, I forgot that most of the submissions would be morons and trolls.

Loraine has a point though. That is what would happen.

you must be new to the internet. i can only imagine how many variations of penis-shaped structures the devs would have to sort out, and the shitstorm that will happen when they miss some.

aside from that, it appears that ccp management is not exactly a paragon of competence, so i would not trust them to be willing, let alone able to support such a project. and even if they decided to do it, there is still the issue of man months.

I should buy an Ishtar.

let's be real here guys

if the only tools were to place objective types and NPC ships already from missions, and be able to set units to spawn on timer, warp in etc..

Where is the potential for trash? For ship spawns you could place a zone, so there's a degree of randomness in the location, and they are moving anyway.

I'm aware of the issues there would be with fixed structures and swastikas.

My real issue is what happened in City of heroes. Missions with the sole purpose of lvling/farming a certain NPC. In this case a mission dedicated to farming alot of isk allot more efficiently than you can with current missions.

I probably should have thought things better, but I did mention they should go to Sisi before being allowed in Tranquility, so only decent ones were added.

I can´t imagine how to abuse creating missions if they have sane constraints, so I´m having trouble thinking of anything to add.

By sane constraints, I mean things like limiting the number of t2 ships you can add, not being able to set the value of bounties by hand, imposing limits on the number of pockets and waves, limiting what´s available depending on the level of the mission being created, etc...

My first thought was 'that would be cool'. Then I remembered other people would be involved.

Maybe instead of custom missions, we could have something where they have partial mission modules, and a generator that will randomize the various parts of the mission so each one is at least somewhat different.

That also might not be as much work as writing code to allow for custom built missions.
