hey,
i just got myself into a Tengu and finished The Maze, i was wondering if its possible to do the Guristas DED 9/10 (Dread Guristas Fleet Staging Post) in a solo active tanked Tengu as well.
the citadel torpedo should deal kinetic damage right ?
https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Dread_Guristas_Fleet_Staging_Post
says that there are neutralizer batteries, so i guess its not possible to run it in a solo tengu, has anyone experience with this one and could give some advice how to do it ?
couldnt find a good guide for it.

You can but you will struggle with the neuts plus you do need a bit of DPS for the station, two works better.

the station should have the same tank as the station in the maze right ?
iam just scared that the neuts could kill me since my tank is only at ~40% stable.

Indeed. Its just a pain to do it solo. With more tha one you can have one.tengu tanking neuts and npcs till cap runs out. Warp out.bookmarkinh near.neuts. warping back repeating untill neuts are dead.

its alot of work for possibly just a tier effect.

I have never tried this in an tengu alone, but the neuts are the biggest problem. It would certainly be doable in a tengu if the neuts weren't there. They neut pretty fast.
I run this one in an ishtar - tengu setup where i use the ishtar as tank. If all neuts target my tengu i have to warp it off because it sucks the cap out quite fast.

I completed the 9/10 in an active tank Hamgu. Of course the neuts are the first target. I loaded an cap recharger to assist. Finished it without breaking 50% shield or 25% cap. No warp outs were required.

Done it with 96% kin resist, 720 dps HM fit. Just target and knock out the neuts immediately and then it's pretty much easy mode. Same as any other 10/10 station sig.

Do you mind PM'ing me the fit that you used for solo'ing The Maze? I've been meaning to try that but I haven't really figured out how much DPS / tank is necessary.

I've personally soloed the guristas 9/10 in a Ishtar and it's extremely simple to do it in a passive tanked Ishtar. I'm assuming the same can be done in a Tengu, but I haven't tried yet.

You might also consider an ASB with amps instead of hardeners. It's cap is stored until use and can't be neuted.

2 is better, but you should never ever have to warp out if you fit right.

This is what i use for Guristas.

Ship costs less than 600 mil.

With a partial mid grade set (everything but omega) it tanks 1600+ guristas DPS with a small sig, does about 450+ dps with +3 missile hardwirings, cap stable above 40%. The ECM burst holds ALL aggro about 90% of the time and the smallish sig means that as long as I orbit the beacon (webbed by npc frigs or not or not) my shields never go below 85%. The DPS tengu orbits the tank tengu at 15 km to stay our of ECM burst range.

The Second tengu is ALL DPS (700+ with Fury Heavy missiles). I just burn down the tower, pop the neuts when they appear , then keep on the tower with both Tengus till it drops, ignorine all the spawns. When the tower drops the DPS tengu goes to get the loot and both tengus shoot any scramming frigs, then warp off.

To recap, I warp in the tank, shoot the tower to get torp aggro, warp in the dps, dps ship orbits tank at 15 with afterburner on, tank turns on ECM burst to keep room aggro (most of the time), burn down tower, kill neuts when they appear, finish tower, scoop loot, kill scrams, warp off. Done right, takes 10 minutes tops to do Fleet Staging Point 3.

Of course it's faster with a fighter spewing Thanatos lol.
