Just buy a vindi like everyone else. Kronos, used to be ideal for incursion but the 90% web nerf ruined it.

I am just looking at it (Kronos) in Eve-HQ fitter and I don't see a problem with it, a well fit Kronos will do an easy 1500 dps out to 18km and 1000dps out to 50km pretty easily. The tank though thin on shield (only 9k) is still more than enough for an attentive pilot to manage well, additionally it can do something a Vindicator can't; Be cap stable with the guns running forever, even run a Large Energy transfer or Large shield transfer for 3 minutes with the guns. 4 utility High slots left over and you have an excellent ship for a good FC to take advantage of.

So I have to ask who did you try to fleet up with? It could be the group you're trying doesn't use it so they don't know what it can do. Try some of the other groups and send a mail to 'Sentenced 1989' he likes changing things up and trying new ideas he probably can get you in one of his fleets.

DPS is only a part of the problem, the 90% web vindi has is extreamly OP and must be nerfed into oblivion ASAP. Two 90% web on a frig and your blaster can hit it perfectly!

I want to do incursions, but no one wants my kronos, and my mega navy issue has a hard time getting into fleets cause the better ships get picked up before me.

One thing to keep in mind with TVP is that it is a large community with a lot of FCs. They obviously work to be consistent, but there are always some FCs who are less open-minded than others. You may be able to get an invite if you try to join with a more flexible FC. There is a Kronos fit listed on their site so it's not a ship that the channel as a whole rejects out of hand.

That said, unless you have an aversion to cross-training based on principle, in the absolute worst-case scenario (no Per/Will implants, fully remapped away from Per/Will) it's a 4 day train to Minmatar Battleship I. Minmatar BS skill only improves your web strength in a Vindicator, so even at level I you'll be better in every meaningful way in a Vindicator than you are in a Kronos.

I have seen fleets of bastion mode MJD marauders run vanguard sites and even edge out traditional shield fleets on occasion. Its not exactly a common fleet comp but it does exist.

Because 95%+ of incursion runners are elitist assholes.

Helix will also take it, especially if you can fit rails and see an Assault fleet going up. While we don't recommend them because for HQ and VG they are less than optimal, it is a shiny preferred channel with FCs who tend to think first and jerk knees second.

No offense to TDF, but if he already has DS shield modules, its likely that he's pretty comfy in shield, and with full shiny. A much better place (TZ provided) for a full shiny fleet with a reliably good FC corps is OIC.
