With Farmers Gone From FW...

I'm not sure what all the high and mighty disdain for FW "farmers" is about. Farmers contributed as much if not more LP to the taking and leveling up of systems as any pure pvp'er. Probably much more because there's few things more selfish than a 'pure' pvp'ing neut/pirate. Even if they'd wanted to be generous their contributions would have been negligible compared to the contributions of those despised "farmers" since LP gained by ganking is negligible.

And what are the pvp'ers who aren't even on an FW side doing but farming PVP newbs? Farming kills. Farming a feeling of superiority by invading a situation they aren't even part of. The hypocrisy is stunning. At least LP farmers weren't ruining people's days by ganking newer players .

The new dynamic favors veteran pvp'ers, non FW players: pirates and gankers. I have no idea why CCP thinks that's a good idea. With cloaking gone the only defense now is in fleeting up. 1/8th of squat is.... not really an incentive to join up. How are sides that are down going to level up? How are they going to hold the systems they capture? In the battle between Caldari (t1) and Gallente (t1 also) for the past couple months the middle 3 tiers were unbreakable because veteran pirates/gankers harassed both sides. FW players were pushed to the edges of the FW game. This is good?

What really gets me is that if the veteran pvp'ers/neuts actually wanted a good fight they'd take on people of their own experience and level. That's not the sort of person you'll find defending a plex. All these guys looking down on "farmers" are the nutless pvp'ers who are too chicken to face off against their own in deep null or WH space. They try to cover their cowardice with false swagger and insults to farmers. Last time a dweeb did that to me in the game I swapped ships for an offensive build and spent two days trying to track that little rat turd down - he never would face me in a non farming ship. If veteran pirates actually wanted a good fight they'd go fight pirates. It appears to be the last thing they want.

I like a good fight, facing off against someone of roughly my skill level - and I almost never get that in FW plexes. I usually get guys with 50M more skill points and years in pvp who have NOTHING to do with FW, and if there's even a chance I can beat them they'll usually bring a friend or two to back them up. When I could earn some money it was usually worth it (and there were many nights where I lost money). Now the rats are even harder (and they don't attack neuts/pirates because....?), cloaks are nerfed, even in missions.

It's like CCP wrapped a turd in a bow, handed it to me and all the newer FW players (aka "farmers") and said "FU".

Fine, we'll find something else to do in the game or another game to occupy our time. We won't be plexing much. I guess the pirates/neuts can jump into the plexes and face off against each other for no LP because, you know, they're bold and they're just looking for a good fight... they're not afraid of an equal match at all.

Well aren't you bitter.

If people won't fight you in combat ships but only in obvious farming ships and fits, I have a solution...

Fly combat ships all the time, then there's more PVP and all these "Cowards" will have to fight you on equal footing.

Cry me a river. I suggest that you look up the definition of 'novice' - these sites are still fine for a week old novice to complete.

Well as someone who enjoys fighting FW guys but isn't in FW i think i have a decent reason to disdain a bunch of people running around with dual stabs.

I never saw a farmer upgrade an iHub.

But I saw plenty complain that the tiers had dropped lower.

TL;DR EVE is Dying™.

except farmers are not gone. just adjusted tactics and tweaked their bot programs.

ie. one guy who runs 6 or so bots has them hanging at edge of cature range then moves off to cloak if something appears on dscan. And since the npc's do not reliably spawn, I was in plex that had one npc for 20 minutes.... the cloaking still works to some extent. Just makes it more difficult for player trying to catch the bot farmers tbh.

Thanks for sharing!

On a serious note, i expect ISK/LP to go up for all factions because of the decreased ease of farming.

So if you really do enjoy FW and PVP, fit some more guns and damage mods and hang in there! You'll get the PVP and the ISK to fund it.

I'm not sure what your talking about here, There are a few more succubus and worm pilots around sure. Why wouldn't there be after they received a sorely needed buff. Still plenty of fights to be had, if you can't take them with what your flying blue ball them into boredom. Just like most people currently do with sentinels. New changes working as intended all around it seems.

Step in the right direction! Now if they could get rid of stabs going in to PLEXs, I'd rejoin Facwar.

I'm a new guy and love the thrill of Solo plexing and keeping your wits about you incase you get jumped. It's a good experience in multiple things such as D-Scan and keeping your eyes on whose in the system.

Just for instance:

I fly an Incursus 99% of the time (because I'm that nooby) and just because I can, I go into novices so if someone was to jump me, It'd also be in a frigate and I'd have a fairly fair fight on my hands. Granted, I get destroyed most of the time because I'm new and can't PVP to save my life yet but the rule of thumb is:

Dying is trying. If you don't die, you don't learn.
