"Highsec" strength data hack.


Can explodes approximately 20 seconds after completing, dealing 1000-1500 damage before resists.

Done 3 sites now, confirming all of the above as accurate barring some weird rarer variation. 1x drop every time.

I'm not sure about explosion.. I warped-in in one of those and it was already hacked by someone else.. I came back after ~5-7 min and it was still there.

I can't confirm the explosion either, but after 2 of these sites I'm also just getting x1 Guristas Data Sequence.

Also jumped into a finished site. So far it doesn't seem they dissapear, at least not right away.

Can explosion might be tied to "owner" staying on grid. All 3 of mine exploded and were despawned immediately after.

I stayed on grid, waiting for an explosion; didn't get one.

Saw these sites in 3 of the 4 High sec systems I scanned; first was scannable but had nothing on overview; second had an empty can; third I hacked and waited. Looks buggy to me.

I have ran into 5 sites in lowsec (where I live) all but 1 was empty, doesn't look like they despawn. I did not stick around to see if it exploded.

However, the loot seems to be the same as high sec 1 tag thing, that is very annoying, low sec should get more or something! risk vs rewards and all!

I have hacked sucessfull some another sites. I took the loot an wait near the container . Scanned the next complex . After 10 sec or so the emty container exploded ShockedShockedShockedShocked. Same demage. 24 % in structure. But still alive. HA HA Lol

I poked the site a few more times (with different characters) and it seems the can is not always exploding, or exploding very long afterwards. So it definitely seems something fishy is going on in that regard. However I was able to narrow down the damage, I believe it's 1500 explosive damage before resists. So any newbies in armor tanked T1 frigates might want to be careful, especially if they're chaining these sites.

Ran 4 of these yesterday, each time I made a succesful hack, the pod exploded after I removed the cargo from it.

Edit: I took the time to read up on the sequences

found it in a 0.5 it was empty after hacking it. and exploded 4 minutes later with aoe dmg (was in my anathema http://puu.sh/9eEQD/b312ffdfa8.jpg)

Just found one in highsec (0.7). Data Analyzer use errors with "no further tools are needed," but attempting access contents with Open Cargo command errors with "you cannot access... without specialized equipment".
Cargo Scanner I succeeds, telling me "Guristas Transponder Tower Cargo Scan Results [0]: No Items Found"

I'm guessing this is more of the bug others are reporting today.

Ok I went into one of these, I was in lowsec, 10 seconds after I begin hacking it exploded. My probe was destroyed, prolly cause I don't have tank. Damn

i found one of these in low sec ,



confirming just 1 can , droped nothin for me wich is wierd !?

can also confirmed it blew up and left my buzzard with half structure ...

After the hacking i was rewarded with an instant explosion, killing my ship. Seems like a complete waste of time to go to these sites for 2m.

I've lost 2 imicus today to exploding data sites in low sec, last time for 1600 damage. Ok so an Imicus is cheap to replace but hard to find a noob ship that isn't a frigate to do low sec exploration in. Questions are:

1. Is it just 'Contested Guristas Covert Research Facility' site that blow up in your face, in which case I can ignore them?
2. Any cruisers worth fitting for data/relic sites in low sec so I can tank the explosion? Saw some cheapish Vexor fits, for example.
